My kids don't use the colon. I thought that was just a millennial thing. But today when I texted my hair stylist who is about my age, I wrote 1:30 and she confirmed 130.
I still use the colon but I'm going to stop; it will save a lot of time lol.

I use the colon. But it’s easy enough to read without it.

If I’m typing I use the colon - but I’m often using Siri or voice text to send messages and then it leaves out colon.

I use the colon.
How I would actually write that depends if I am at work or not though…. At work it would be 01:30 or 13:30.
I try to remember to use the 12 hour clock when not at work. 😀

DH and I both always use the colon. Both our kids use it if they write the time, but not if they type it.

If I'm using a 12-hour clock, I use the colon. If I'm using a 24-hour clock, no colon.

I'm a boomer and always use the colon. Hmmmm.....now that I know its not really necessary maybe I'll save myself the extra keystroke.

I would have said I use the colon but looking down at my planner - it says otherwise...830am 2pm...nary a colon to be seen.
I'm in my 50s
I tested the kids "how would you write the time one thirty in numbers"
DD15 is asleep
DD21 answered 130 but alternately 1:30 but I'm lazy
DS30 answered 0130 or 1300 - but says the military doesn't use colons

DS30 answered 0130 or 1300 - but says the military doesn't use colons My military sons use 24 hour time with no colon. I sometimes have to stop and count out what they mean. Lol.

when typing or writing I use the colon. But when using voice to text the colon is sometimes skipped by the speech translator.

At work as a hospital RN, the time would be 1330 or 0130. Outside of the hospital, the time would be 1:30am or 1:30pm.

I always use the colon. The military kid will use the 24 clock out of habit sometimes. I had to remind myself how to translate it. Hadn't done that in 20 years!

I use the colon, texting or writing on paper. I use the same punctuation texting that I use writing or typing.
