Anyone have a preference or a great YouTube review/comparison between the two?
If you have one of these two, anything you dislike? I've read you can use the foil plates/stamps or your regular dies. Any issues with regular dies?
I have both the Gemini Jr and the Spellbinders Platinum 6 and was thinking of getting one of the hot foiling machines.
Thanks!

I don't think you can go wrong with either of them.
I have the Gemini one. I am very happy with it. The majority of the videos I watch are for the Spellbinders' one and it's pretty much the same thing, as far as I can tell. All of the foil plate brands I've used - Spellbinders, PinkFresh, The Greetery - have worked beautifully in the Gemini machine.

You might want to check out Nancy Stamps on You tube. She has lots of videos using both systems.

You might want to check out Nancy Stamps on You tube. She has lots of videos using both systems. Her videos are really informative. I have the glimmer system, because I didn't want to buy a new die cutting machine as well. Love it. I have foiled with regular dies and it worked just as well as using the actual foil plates. One thing I was really glad I purchased was black foil. Spellbinders has a bunch of plates with small sentiments that look really good foiled in black on gold metallic card. Trying to stamp on that cardstock smears like crazy.

I do have some small Spellbinders sentiments, but I don’t think I have any black foil. Is there a brand you’d recommend?

#restless spirit I have some from Spellbinders, and some from a Facebook seller, Bluebonnet Foil rgv. Bluebonnet's foils are very reasonable, shipping charges are reasonable and she ships wicked fast.
