I am totally new to Ebay and was nervous purchasing off there, but it was the only place I could find this CM album I wanted to finish all my CM stuff (long ago I had been gifted CM Christmas albums, soI was only scrapping CM for Christmas) before I transition fully to D ring albums. I verified with the seller twice that this was a new style CM album, true 12x12, not the older 11.5 style and they emailed me back they had measured and checked with their CM rep and yes, it was. I get it in the mail yesterday and it is the short 11.5 style that fits the old style pages, the ones you have to trim a half inch off of. I am so bummed. I have now emailed the seller twice, and tried to send photos, but ebay doesn't seem to let you do that. No response from the seller, they have lots of other CM stuff for sale so I am perplexed at how they said yes, this is a newer style album.
Any advice for a ebay newbie? It's now been 3 days.
TIA!
Update: The seller contacted me, told me to keep the album and my money was refunded. I am a little confused...I reached out to them, explained that I was unhappy as we had had the email exchange and I had double checked the size of the album, ect....I did not expect or want to keep the album, just get my $$ back and have them pay for shipping back. I didn't want or expect a free album. I plan on making that clear to the seller...is it just easier on them to write it off though, rather than send me a shipping label?

I think in eBay you can report the item to eBay, since it is not what you had paid for.

Open a dispute in eBay immediately! And also PayPal if you paid thru them.

File a dispute. Take pictures of the product received -- take comparison photos of what you expected and queried WITH what you received. Make a personal note of your conversations/questions with/to the seller -- I don't know if Ebay keeps a record of that. Note in the dispute that you tried to contact seller but they did not respond.
It is really much more trouble for the seller and will better get their attention going through Ebay.
I sold some CM stuff through Ebay and a reseller had some hissy about my "packaging" -- it didn't suit how he wanted it to be packaged. It didn't make any difference to Ebay (or the buyer) that the product was totally pristine and exactly as advertised. I had to refund and pay for return shipping. (Ultimately that was oaky as I had learned by that point what the real value of the product was so I was able to sell it at a higher price.)

As a seller, it’s easier and cleaner to have the customer keep the item and just refund the money. It’s good customer service.
