I might have a solution.
I had a stamp a little longer than the stamping blocks I had on my scrap counter. During the virtual crop, kitbop suggested I use my stamp positioner. I have had a WRMK Precision Press for a few years, but after I had left it on its side in a pocket of my tote, it quit making an even image. I think it was warped. I had tried various ways to make it work, but always ended up frustrated.
Anyway, today I pulled it out and tried it with the new stamp. Sure enough, it didn't work well. But as we were chatting, the idea came up that I put it on the floor and use my FOOT for pressure (like I do with some of my punches).
I put the stamp back in the press, applied Gina K ink, closed the press and put it on my carpeted floor. Used my foot (in a house slipper with foam soles) to apply pressure--directly down, and then sliding my foot back and forth a bit. Picked it up, and.... PERFECT image!!!! I was so impressed (pun intended) that I proceeded to stamp a dozen of the large greeting.
Is THIS why you call this process STAMPING? Or is this a new process called STOMPING?

haha! I'm sure the manufacturer would be horrified, but if it works, huzzah!

Haha, this makes me think of the Stomp musical. Just imagining a Stamping/Stomping version! The average audience member would probably get very bored!

That sounds easier than running the car over it. But if you want a background look .......
