Purchased a card kit - watched video of construction, downloaded printed instructions, cut ALL the paper for 12 cards, scored all the paper for 12 cards Last sheet of cutting -- one strip isn't wide enough -- I cannot see where I made a mistake per the written directions -- I'll fix it Building 1st set of 4 cards -- scored wrong -- 5.5x4.25 -- not a lot of difference but there are 3 other panels (already cut), plus the decorative panels (already cut) -- everything is too long so I can cut them all down to fit, but the proportions are going to be "wrong" for the "sentiment" panels
Sigh ..... a tried following the directions Just needed to whine a bit to people who may have experience the same mistakes and irritation -- I'm totally frustrated about this endeavor -- I've put everything away and I'm going to trawl the internet for funny cat memes -- not really, I don't particularly care for animal memes!

Ugh, I hate when that happens!! :/ Yeah, I would need a palate cleanser after that, too. 😹

Oh I hate when that happens with a project. Often, I’ll put something away today frustrated and then when I finally drag it out again it seems like an easy fix. I hope once you have some time and space away from the project that it goes together more smoothly.

Thanks everyone. There are various ways to fix -- start with new paper -- colors won't be exact, but they'll be "close enough"; just cut the panels down - they will be fines. I also want to go back and see where I went astray -- for the big problem - I think it was at scoring! I may need to watch the video again Thanks for the understanding! I gave up on crafting for the evening and watched football with my sister!

I feel your pain. What I do now is make one whole card before cutting everything. I think you were wise to stop and take a break to re-group. I'm sure you'll make it work, and I hope it's easy to fix.

Club Scrap, that happened to me. And because they said to cut 2 papers at once (which I never do for several reasons) I went double down. I ordered 2 more papers and paid large for postage, but I got another pizza box.

I always measure twice and cut once and then still manage to cut wrong. I don't know what's wrong with me, but it's why I usually make a prototype first before any assembly-line card making.
I also always cut the wrong number of pieces for my Christmas cards - for example, I'll have 25 card bases, 26 first layers, 22 stamped flowers die cut out - for some reason I can never count right. Super annoying.

Ugh, definitely a good idea to give up for now and start over another day. Hopefully you can figure out where you went wrong and make it work

I ordered 2 more papers and paid large for postage, but I got another pizza box. Yep -- didn't want to name the company as I don't think it is their "fault" - it was mine. I looked at the video and I did exactly what Trish said NOT to do. I've also discovered that my cutting isn't as precise -- I don't know if it is a measurement matter -- "on the line", "at the line", "over the line" -- but my pieces that "should be" the same ... Aren't! I'm cutting everything down and firmly telling myself that no recipient will know the difference! Oh -- and one more point - not about the scoring or measuring!! I was looking to "match" the cardstock for the base (hoping to use the already cut decorative pieces) -- looking for replacements for the green and blue I looked through *literally* 6 inches of cardstock of each color (I'm a bit of a cardstock compiler) I couldn't find a "close enough" match!

Don't sweat the small stuff! You have a fix, so let it out into the universe. We all make silly mistakes!
It won't help you now, but maybe for another project--when I'm cutting multiple papers, I use a pad of sticky notes to lay at my cutting line to lay the paper against when cutting. It helps to keep all the cuts exactly the same and it can help with making a wrong cut because I can recognize when my proportions are off.
