Alexa says we can expect about 1.02 cm. of snow. Alexa, have you BEEN outside??! It just keeps snowing and snowing.
Our DGD runs our online shop for us and I know she has a couple of orders to go to the post office, but I texted her and said DO NOT go anywhere today. There's nothing that can't wait until tomorrow.
How's everyone else doing?

We got another 8" of snow last Friday then it was super windy this past weekend. It's always a good time when the wind blows in what you already cleaned out.

We expect a storm to arrive later today but right now it’s freezing rain again. I’m soooo sick of trying to navigate the skating rink outside while attempting to walk the dog without breaking a hip.

Freezing rain is the worst! I'm lucky I don't have to go anywhere, and my DH walks the dog. Take care!

Our driveway has a thick layer of slush on it. I need to get out there and scrape it off before it freezes, but I'm going to have a cup of tea first. I really don't want to go out. It's cold and damp.

I'm flying into Toronto tomorrow. Hoping for turbulence-free safe flight. And you Alexa sounds like a Pollyanna! Great advice to your DGD. Stay safe!

Snowing here today but just for the day. Sucks that the wind is gusting though. Nothing seems so bad right now since we're still comparing it to 17 days where we didn't get above -27C plus windchills of -40 to -50C. Everything seems tolerable for now and so warm.

16 inches here with more coming down. We are pretty used to dealing with snow as we are usually at the top of the list for most snow in a year. I’m staying put today but DS is hunting and everything is open for business as usual.

We have over 12” from the storm that came through last night. There’s a break in the weather right now and then another 3-6” of lake effect snow is supposed to start falling around dinner time. We live in an area that’s very well prepared for snow but even they couldn’t keep up with this.

We're enjoying another 60 degree day in Colorado. It has been a very mild winter. We've only had one snowfall with any accumulation. A few dustings here and there this month, but that's it. We've recently moved up the mountain and the roads are steep.

We are in Wyoming and the lack of snow that we have had this year is terrifying. Fire season could be the whole year at this point.
The wind, on the other hand, has been record-breaking.

It snowed off and on for much of the day yesterday here in GA, but it kept sort of melting so there is only about 1-2" on the ground.
I hate snow, I didn't move here for this. But the cats enjoyed it out on the deck!

Right now, Toronto is a mess, on the highways, anyway. I haven't heard about the airport. We've just been watching on the newscams on TV and I can't believe the idiots on the roads. Good luck with your flight! I hope things have settled down by then. I think my Alexa is drunk. She also told me that the snow would stop around 10:45 this morning. It's now 1:45 in the afternoon and it's still coming down.

For the first time in over 20 years, our school board closed all the schools. I live in a small town. Everything is closed except for Circle K and Tim Hortons. My son works at TH. he was called in early. I texted how it was going. They have a baker and 3 front staff. At 3pm. It will be him and one other front staff. He is doing a 12 hour shift. He said it's crazy busy and they aren't all snow plough people. There are BORED people. There are coffee addict people. If these people didn't feel the need to venture out into the worst snowstorm in decades, the store would close. But the store is making oodles of money while the staff will just get their minimum wage. He'll probably get shafted in breaks too. I assume he used a bathroom break to check his phone.

Apologies to my friends in Ontario and the east but we are enjoying a lovely Chinook and it’s 12C right now. We had a massive cold snap for a couple of weeks so we deserve a break! 😄
We don’t often get huge dumps of snow because it is very dry here.

Northeast Ohio here...
We had at least 14 inches in our yard today. City/State could not keep up with removal and treatment of the roads at all. It was a solid sheet of ice under the 12-18 inches. We were all prepared, but just couldn't keep up with it:) My dogs sure have been in in a glorious mood though! This is really our first snowfall for the season and they are quite pleased!

We got about a foot. Driveway is cleared, and the main streets are clear. The plows took one run down my street, but it’s still messy. I’m staying put until tomorrow.

My parents live in SC. They had over 4 inches yesterday. I was joking with my dad that it's pretty bad when they have more snow than we do. Here in IN we have only had two dustings, nothing measurable.

It's sunny and 57 here in CA. We pay dearly for that great "winter weather" LOL Not any chance of any moisture for the next 2 weeks. We need rain.

In the NC Foothills we had about 5 inches yesterday. I didn't measure exactly when I went out today and it was hard to tell as much as the wind blew in the afternoon. The sun came out this afternoon but it didn't get much above freezing. Supposed to be in the teens tonight. I'm hoping to get out on Wednesday. The road is clear it is just our driveway.

If we can land in Toronto I'm staying at the Sheraton in Terminal 3 tomorrow night and then taking a shuttle bus to my hometown Wed. morning to isolate in a hotel there for 4 nights. Wishing you and all peas being bombarded with snow warmth and safety!

Grew up in Ontario and don't miss that one bit! Nor do I miss the heavy hard crusty snow left behind by snow plows and shoveling that out of driveway entrance so I could make it to my job by 7 a.m. But I'm heading to Ontario tomorrow, hoping my plane will be able to land in Toronto. Stay safe!

We got over 12 inches on the top of our cars today. An hour north of Toronto. Never saw a plow until late afternoon and we live on the major road through town. It was supposed to be my first day back to work after being laid off because of the Covid school closures, but was told not to come to the office. I worked a bit from home.

Wow! That is alot of snow out east! Stay safe, everyone. After a dump of snow and a stint of really cold weather in jDecember, we had a break with temps near the freezing mark and sunshine. It is snowing gently here today, but it was preceded by a mist and freezing drizzle as the temps cooled down again. Tomorrow the wind shill is supposed to be -33C.
I have two appointments in two different towns tomorrow. Hoping the roads won't be as terrible as they could be...
