I hear you. I pop my Yaktrax on over my boots, and they really help. We had a layer of ice under our snow, and I am too old to mess about. Happy to know about Yaktrax! Thanks! You’re welcome! Pro tip: never walk on tile with them. Or linoleum. I wiped out at school because I stepped onto the linoleum floor. Ouch!

I hate snow and I hate cold (so, ironically, I was born and live on the Canadian prairies), but right now I'm actually keeping my fingers crossed that we get lots and lots of snow for the remainder of this winter. Last summer was awfully dry and hot, and if the soil doesn't get some moisture, it's going to be a terrible year for crops and animals ... so you easterners can just send those snow clouds back our way, please!

Well most of the schools here already called for a snow day tomorrow including Cleveland metro so you know it’s bad out there. So glad they announced it tonight instead of having to wait until 6am.

If only we could shuffle the precipitation around as needed, eh? I live in major drought country in CA (california, not canada) and we NEED rain so badly. Fingers crossed for you!

52cm is the official count from the weather network.
Still a lot of cards left abandon. Three buses were still left abandon on my drive in to Toronto this morning
I'm trying get our yard dug out at work. There is 3 foot snow drifts back there and now they are calling for a mix of rain overnight. So will be one big ice block. So much fun.

No new snow, but nasty wind creating blizzard like conditions today. It already feels like a LONG winter and we have many more months to go.

Some are still digging themselves out today.
My son's shift ended up being only 8 hours. Some co workers were able to dig themselves out and work later in the day.
Not all sidewalks are done in my town. I have a 4-9 tonight shift. Thankgoodness I am only a 2 minute walk away. Though I might have some snowbanks to get through.

Ugh, this will miss us-not the cold air, but the storm-but seriously, winter. Get a grip!

We are in Wyoming and the lack of snow that we have had this year is terrifying. Fire season could be the whole year at this point. The wind, on the other hand, has been record-breaking. In Colorado.. same here.. hardly any snow like 950Nancy said.. and the wind.. not Wyoming wind usually, but very very windy and that bad fire. I hate snow but I am praying for it.. Just don't land on my driveway, I would be happy! haha.. My husband is a truck driver and Wyoming is the WORST.. He is always getting stuck there. Wind or snow... every winter it is a challenge.

We got 16" overnight Sunday to Monday (in an 8 hour period). We live in a development and are in a cul-de-sac and we didn't see a plow until almost 4pm. DS is a firefighter/EMT and was supposed to be at work at noon, but wasn't able to get out until after the plow came. With drifts, it was up over his. bumper (and he drives an SUV) so, not a short car. It was crazy! They cancelled school for today around dinnertime last night because they hadn't been able to get all side streets cleaned until today. I've enjoyed watching it all play out from the comfort of my couch in front of the window!
