That is my favourite 9x12 PP configuration! I love this design for adding only 2 PL cards and filling the rest with photos. Or to fill with blown-up photos cut down to fit. The vertical row of 3x4 is amazing for lenghtier journaling as well (just keep the writing running on the side like a downpour of words). I also like to use the top or bottom row for a panorama effect, especially when you photograph a group of people and some foreground or background on either the left or right side of the pic (the faces don't get cut down but you get to slot in the extra photographic element separately right next to it). An alternative to this is people's-faces-photo in the 4x6 and right next to it, fill the 3x4 with a detail of the memory captured (close-up of birthday cake, coffee cup, architectural/design detail in the room, etc.). Ania Turek used 9x12 last year and just rocks this format (albeit only using the 9 3x4 PP). Effortlessly chic. https://www.instagram.com/p/COmwHoNgEck https://www.instagram.com/p/CShE5EgocmM https://www.instagram.com/p/CXtn4zpo_X6 https://www.instagram.com/p/CWfn4SNIRxh

Those pages are amazing, sleepingbooty! I have followed her on Instagram for more inspiration. The pages are simple yet stunning, and really allow her beautiful photography to shine. I love the 9x12 page protector size. I tend to spread them throughout my 12x12 albums. When doing my monthly pocket pages, I use them either in months when I have fewer photos and stories to cover, or when I have tons of photos and need to add in a bit of extra space. I often find that the 9x12 size is just right...enough extra real estate without having to worry about how I will have to fill it all.

I do all my PL using 9x12 page protectors...nothing special, just not 12x12.

I love using other sizes of page protectors in my 12x12 albums. I think it makes it more interesting.
The funny thing? DD and DGD hate that! They are both very "things need to be even" type women. When DGD was 5, I wanted to give her baby brother 1 egg to color for Easter, for a photo. NOPE! It wouldn't be even. We ended up having baby brother color a raw egg.

I love using other sizes of page protectors in my 12x12 albums. I think it makes it more interesting. Me too! I did this in a travel album and I used all sizes of page protectors to fit in postcards, memorabilia, etc. and I LOVE how it turned out with all the little extras. For my 2021 PL album I stuck to mostly 9x12 and 12x12, but now I am thinking I might need to break out my smaller page protectors 2022 as well.

blemon I ordered the variety 40pk and will get 10 of these style today! I am thinking 1 4x6 will be used for Journaling, another another a larger photo or title or embellishment pocket. And then cards and or photos for the 3x4 pockets.

Can someone please measure for me the size of the page protectors in a Scrapbook.com 9X12 album?
Mine hasn't arrived yet and I want to start playing around with some full-page photos and spreads that will go outside the pockets.
Thank you!

The Scrapbook-dot-com 9x12's are a smidge under 10 (9-15/16) x 12-3/8

Hope you enjoy the new size! the inspiration photos sleepingbooty posted upthread. I love using other sizes of page protectors in my 12x12 albums. I think it makes it more interesting... Ditto. While I primarily scrap 12x12, I include various sizes/configurations of page protectors in my album to hold extra photos &/or memorabilia.
