I’ve been using Copics for years, as long as I’ve been making cards so more than a decade. I usually by colors specific to a project or pretty blues because why not. I don’t have a huge collection (less than 100) but it’s decent.
I did a Lawn Fawn live craft event last year with LF and Jenn Shurkus. It was a blast so recently when I saw they were doing it again for another release I signed up. WOW!!!! The class was so much fun AND I learned a lot about Copic coloring. Which sent me down a YT rabbit hole and on a shipping spree.
So my question is of course do you love Copics? Do you have a big collection? A favorite color way? Besides blues I’m LOVING grays. Who knew there were four different categories that look COMPLETELY different.

I love my Copics, but I’ve only taken one class, and that was years ago. I do the best I can with them, although it sounds like you got so much out of your craft event that I am a bit envious. I may have to look into something like it at some point.

I started using Copics about five or six years ago, I think. Back then, it seemed that there was a huge focus in cardmaking on coloring images, whether it was Copics or watercoloring, so I tried out a bunch of different mediums. For a while, I was pretty good at Copic blending and fancier techniques, but I got out of practice, so now when I use them, it's usually just for simple coloring. I'm not great at light sources, shading, depth, etc., although I love watching people who are experts with Copics, since they can do some amazing things. I decided that since I rarely color, I wanted to focus on the easiest method (for me), which is Copics, so I've sold my other pencils/markers/etc.
A few years ago, Hobby Lobby put a bunch of Copics on clearance for something like $2.49 and when I heard, I went and bought one of each marker on clearance, which drastically expanded my collection. Before, I didn't have that many but now I have somewhere between 1/3-1/2 of the colors probably. I haven't ever counted how many I have tbh. However, if it hadn't been for that HL sale, I would still have a rather modest collection.
I think I have a pretty good range of colors, with a focus on pinks/reds/purples and greens/blues because those are common floral colors. I don't have a lot of tans/browns (although I do have enough to do various skin tones/hair colors/animal fur) and I don't have many of the warm greys because I prefer the cool or neutral greys. I'm also don't have many oranges because it's just not a color I use very often.

The way she colors using only one or two markers is pretty amazing

I like Copics but don't use them all that often. I have a pretty large collection only because a store was going out of business and my husband knew the owner and went and bought the remaining stock for me! He's so sweet! I'm ok with them. I don't do it often enough to be really good at it. I think Copics are great for lots of different art and well worth the money.

I love my Copics. I've collected about 130 or so. I bought my first ones used (the 72 Set A) for a really good price. I wouldn't recommend buying a set because I have a lot of markers I don't use, but the price per marker was less than $3.00.
I've taken several of Jenn's classes (paid and the free LF ones) and I agree that her classes are fun, and they way she uses the markers is very easy.
When I first bought them I took the Sandy Allnock's Beginning Copic course and purchased her Copic hex chart. I use that hex chart every time I color.
I'm not sure I have a favorite color aside from the greys and Earthtones. Maybe the YG's.

Jen’s online classes are great for leaning copics and she has a free copic 101 tutorial on her site. Also check out christy gets crafty on you tube. Great copic tips. I have them all.

I love my Copics! I'm a certified Copic instructor, and I learned so much taking those classes.

My GD's Niki & Danielle gave me a set of 12 copics in a nice case, and the spray unit to go with, maybe 10 years ago. I have played with them, but I don't use them.

I love them...I fell into the Copic rabbit hole about three years ago. I also took Sandy Allnock's class and use her hex chart. Love watching Christy Gets Crafty YouTube channel.

I love my copics too. Even more now that I've got the pretty little stands from Organizemore. They were not cheap, but I have been wanting some of those since when that one company sold the plastic ones for $15 and I was too cheap to buy 3 of them at that time. Then they went out of business. NO ONE had anything similar for years. I finally bit the (much bigger) bullet last year.l

I forgot to mention that yes, I have a a fairly large collection of Copics (95), but I was a stamper/card maker before I was a scrapbooker, and sometimes I also use stamped images on my pages.
One tip I learned on my own, is to use the same marker to get a darker shade when you don’t have the full spectrum of colors. Applying a darker gray multiple times gives a nice approximation of black that still lets you see the stamped outlines.
Is there a place to get the refills? I have the refill for the colorless blender, but I wish I’d bought a few others for my most used colors. Amazon doesn’t sell the refills anymore. Does anyone?

What paper do you all use? I was using SSS white 120lb for awhile, but as I got close to the last few sheets I decided to try something new. So I got Lawn Fawn's 80lb (which is repackaged Neenah Solar White 80lb) after dong a bit of research and also Jenn Shurkus swears by it. I DO NOT LIKE IT My blending feathers on the Neenah versus the SSS, plus on the Neenah I'm getting a lot of bleed through. This could quite possibly be user error on my part. Maybe I'm using too much ink to begin with, since so far I've been blending using 2-3 colors? What do you use? Any good blending tips?

So I got Lawn Fawn's 80lb (which is repackaged Neenah Solar White 90lb) after dong a bit of research and also Jenn Shurkus swears by it. In fact, it means that the colors are saturating the cardstock. You aren't doing anything wrong. I use 110 lb. Nina and also Copic cardstock, which is made by a few different manufacturers.

Copics!! I have the Sketch ones. I took a class from the woman who worked for Imagination International (Copics) and brought them into the craft world....Marianne Walker. It was such a great class. This was back in I think '07 or so. It was a 2 day class with all sorts of tips and tricks on how to use them. She explained that these were originally used for Anime. I've linked her old blog below. If you have time search through it. You will find all sorts of tips and tricks on using the markers. Oh and bleeding through the paper that's a good thing. You want to saturate the paper. Make sure you have a piece of white card stock beneath your paper. That way the bleed won't pick up the colors from beneath your paper. I decided on Sketch because they have the most color selection. Yes! The grays are amazing and I use them more than I thought I would. I too purchased the air brush system. I used it a few times and then gave that to my niece. I Like Markers
