Drat. Here’s hoping for few symptoms (and fewer weird dreams!).

I was likely exposed 12/17 at school. Last day before break. Looking back, my first symptom went undetected.
12/22 my tea tasted salty
12/23 started coughing, I have allergies and asthma so not out of the norm
12/24 coughing got worse so I took my inhaler and allergy meds. Around 4 my body hurt so bad! I took my temp and it was 101. Had some soup and dozed off and on until the kids went to bed and we got Christmas set up.
12/25 forced myself out of bed and showered at 8 to do Christmas. I camped out on the couch, did FaceTime with my family, napped and scrolled here and Facebook but even that was asking too much of my body so I mostly slept on the couch. At 6, I had a 103 fever so I took Tylenol and went to bed. Pretty sure I was hallucinating because I could feel the head radiating from the soles of my feet!
12/26 still had 103 fever and again showered and camped out on the couch for the day. Tylenol and early to bed.
12/27 no more fever and I felt so much better! Energy has been great since. Stuffy head for a few days after.
12/28 found a home test and I was positive
12/29 PCR of everyone but DH in the family… me +, DD (10) +, DS (5) -, DH refused to test. We were all together so it didn’t matter. We all quarantined together. DD had to miss 3 days of school when we went back. She was asymptomatic.
1/22 I still have the cough. It’s not getting any worse.
The kicker here is that before my first symptom, we saw FIL and his wife and her DD 12/19, we saw SIL, BIL, niece, nephew 12/19 and they came to stay with us until 12/22. We saw MIL and her BF 12/20. We went out to dinner 12/20. All vaxxed except my 2 kids. Not a single one ended up sick!!

“Well, it got me. Started getting a headache yesterday and had a sleepless night with weird, never ending dreams (always a sign I am sick). Tested this morning at home and got a positive very quickly.
”I hope you have a quick recovery and no lasting effects. Take care!

DH tested positive a week ago. I woke up around 1 AM today with a pounding headache and slept poorly after that. Very weird dreams. I have slight congestion and a weird feeling in my chest like when you’re getting bronchitis. Home test was negative this morning but it might be too soon.
Headache did not respond at all to ibuprofen and is only slightly dulled by excedrin. Yayyyyyy.

I had lunch with my 3 BFFs on Monday. We finally did our Christmas gift exchange. We had to delay as T’s husbands had Covid the last 2 weeks of Dec. T and her hubby are not vaccinated and neither is N.
These have been ‘my people’ for the last 12 years so choose to gather with them even though I am very pro vaccine and anti Trump.
I woke up Thursday with a sore throat and headache. I currently WFH so no big deal. Friday I woke up feeling worse, but at home test was coming back negative. Friday night I started getting a bit achey, low grade fever and dry cough. I texted N that I would not be going to WW Saturday morning because I was sick. Surprise- she had been sick too. Thought she had Strep so she went to the Dr on Thursday, strep test came back negative but she was still waiting on her Covid results.
This morning my at home test came up positive.

Lots and lots of fluids.

I hope it subsides soon.
