I have been convinced. I'm getting a Raskog from Ikea. A friend is going over to Vancouver in February & she's going to pick it up. I'm going with Black, I think. I fear white will get dirty too easily, and the grey-green colour I like is sold out.
Show me pics of how you use yours! Tell me tips about using it! Your favorite things about it. Even some things you don't like, or things you've learned over time.
I almost had her order me two, but I am going to start with one. Her mom is over there so she goes over once a month, which makes it easier.

I like that the sides are straight vertical and not tapered - pet peeve is storage organizers that have tapered sides 😄 I have a bunch of magnetic hooks around the top of mine that I hang a small cutting board for watercolours on, ink swatch tags, etc. The locker organizer section usually has a good selection of magnetic stuff, but gluing a thin rare earth magnet to stuff work too.

I LOVE how this lady does her cart-it's a bit different because of the open sides, but I have often thought I could make it work, with the handles...great video anyway, especially for anyone (like me!) who now has a much smaller craft space. www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2suXIoJUho

I also have a small-ish space, so that's intriguing. penny will you post a picture of yours? I am curious about your magnets.

I have a black raskog. I've had it for just a year now I think and am in process of moving some stuff around on it. I did use it to store my plastic envelopes of stickers/embellishments on the bottom two drawers. It does hold a lot! The top is the side of my creating desk and I have a display stand which can hold my storyline chapters books I am working on, along with any recent product I want to use, photos, etc. I have a mug filled with pencils/pens, and then another pen holder with my journaling pens/markers. Also another little tub where I store post its, tape, random little bits. I purchase these Dollar Tree cutting mats (2 in a pack) to make dividers, etc: cutting matsI have one of these lining the top tray just so things don't fall through/get stuck in the webbing.

I use mine for some of my stamping supplies. In the top, I have my stamping platform and my embossing heat tool. In the middle, I have some of my inks. In the bottom, I have my embossing powders, a few more inks, my brayer, and my stamp daubers/blending tools.

Just an fyi: I picked up a "raskog" in store from Costco today, on sale for $29.99 canadian. Only black. But if I had room in my craftroom for more (I already have 2 real raskogs) I'd buy these instead! I don't know if they have them in store in the US Costcos.

My mother's partner uses a white Raskog to store his nebuliser and some other health-related things next to his bed and it doesn't seem to be getting dirty from what I can tell. Obviously, no inks or mixed media on there but overall, it was looking great and he's had it for a few years now. I did a deep clean of their bedroom over Christmas and there were no marks on the cart.

You won’t regret it, they are so versatile. I have 5 rotating in my house. 2 in my craft room. One is my daughters nail polish cart, one an art cart and one in the laundry room. They have stored books, coffee supplies, kids toys, cleaning supplies.

That said, if someone has things that are as related as hers - like the ribbons/washi - and a small amount of space, it could be great. My favorite is Cloud, her dog. 🐶 I have a couple of containers hanging off of both of my Raskogs, but took some off because things felt cramped. They’re big cups - no longer sold by Ikea unless they brought them back (I’ll look) and a metal square basket. One Raskog is in my craft room and is partly how I want it - like [too many] wet and dry adhesives, Pixie Spray, yellow Frog Tape, masking supplies (Post-It’s, Post-It Tape, Masking Magic, etc.) in the top shelf in divided containers and a couple smaller metal containers. I want to reorganize it and some shelves/drawers but that will wait until my broken arm is more useful. The other Raskog is in a closet on the main floor that I roll into the kitchen when I want to do messy work like gel plating or resin. Congrats on joining the Raskogers cycworker !

Mine is filled with junk as I couldn't ever get it organized to the point of being useful/helpful to me. I'm finding new locations in my room for all the items in the cart, and getting rid of the cart.

I'm finding new locations in my room for all the items in the cart, and getting rid of the cart. I look at my cart as an extension of my desk, since my desk got smaller. So the things I want to store on my desk for immediate access go in the cart, with the top shelf being the priority. I can totally see how if you had the storage space, a cart would not be super useful.

I would suggest getting 2 carts. I have one and love it and now I'm thinking I need a second one to put on the other side of my craft room. Being able to wheel it around and having supplies RIGHT there is very helpful.
I also use a shelf of mine for rock painting supplies!

Have you looked at Michael's carts? They have longer ones. I got my daughter a couple of those.
My smaller carts came from Target as I didn't want to hike to Ikea to get them.

One holds my Christmas stash, with my Christmas paper in a tub in the top rack. The other cart holds my laundry stuff as my laundry room has been under renovation (for far too long). Both have held up really well.

mamagidget - I think the Raskog look-alike is the one she wants - she prefers the colour options vs IKEA and it's a little less $$ which is important for a teen on a (small) allowance - She wants it for her art supplies - alcohol markers, coloured pencils, drawing pencils/pen etc...

Mine is the Michael’s version.
I don’t use mine for product like most do. I just use it for large projects. If I’m working on an album, I will put all of the stuff like papers, embellishments, printed photos…all on different shelves of the cart. That way, I can pull the whole cart out away, then put it all back into one spot when I’m done for the day.

The Container Store also has a similar cart. The Container Store one is a little bit smaller than the Raskog but that’s another option. I have one of each and they are both similarly good quality. I haven’t decided what to put in the smaller one. The Container Store cart was much easier to put together.

It corrals his glasses, retainers, masks, phone, wallet, etc., & the wheels lock so it doesn't roll. HTH.
