I have a large tub of "projects" -- class projects I purchased, mini-albums, projects bagged for/from crops or conventions, etc. Most of them are "essentially" done -- not necessarily embellished, but the underlying part complete. Similarly: I love to construct mini-albums -- but I simply do not use them. So the tub contains some mini-albums.
I moved twice in about 12 months -- I've hauled these projects from Kansas City to Florida and now New Mexico. I was casually going through them yesterday.
What should I do with these things? I really don't want to just trash everything -- the paper and/or embellishments can't be saved for re-use -- the styles of the projects are all over the place, but leaning to a touch grungy (that was SO big for a while!). They aren't cards (that could possibly be given to some charitable entity) but mostly mini-albums - paper bag minis, K&Co little albums, chipboard minis, etc. Better than just "trash" -- but I simply have no use for them.

Can you donate them someplace? I can imagine goodwill or such would sell them and someone may want them? Or a school or nursing home may want them for someone who wants to fill them but not make something like that?

I know exactly what you are talking about. I hate to say it but I threw out a lot of stuff like that. For me the fun was in the creating and camaraderie with friends at the time. boymom5 - A Goodwill worker told me that all paper items are automatically trashed. It's the same at the other second-hand shop I donate to. I don't know if that is just the policy in my area or company-wide.

Is there a teen centre or something nearby? Or do you know some teens?
My teen dgd's all asked for printers to print right from their phones last Christmas. The printers they wanted produce sticky backed images. So if a centre had some books and a printer with refills--or even a selphie or somesuch printer and some glue--the kids could use those books to make their own albums.
It might be a fun way for them to save their snap chats & such.

Could you list them on your local Buy Nothing group?

I guess I somewhat understand, but a lot of scrapbook stuff does have some value to people.

A lot of senior living facilities have craft groups. I could see one of them putting them to good use. Maybe check your area for one.

I agree with your local facebook groups. My town has the usual buy nothing, but we also have a free craft supply exchange group! Either way, I'm sure it will get snatched up pretty fast.

I thought I was the only one who made mini albums from kits with no intended purpose! I currently have 2 Valentine’s Day ones (we do nothing for Valentines, never have) and a recipe album with chickens on it. A paper crafted album seems like the perfect thing for a messy kitchen. 😂
Donate or sell. You might be surprised who wants completed albums like that. I’ve put several in church silent auctions and am always astounded at how much people pay for them.

You could try a local craft show - Oct to Dec are great times for selling "gift" items. If they are good quality and cute, you could try approaching any local gift shops or small business home decor type stores to see if you can sell on consignment, etc. I've had good luck in the past doing this with cards. I imagine small photo albums would do well, too.

I went through this recently, too. I felt weird getting rid of stuff that I felt would be useful to someone but I no longer had a need for it. I don't like clutter so letting things go feels better to me. I would try Buy Nothing or FB marketplace. I would sell it as a lot for a very, very low price just for it to be gone.
