If you had to name the top three companies that you have been very happy with the quality of their acrylic stamps, what would they be.
I have been very happy with my Felicity Jane stamps, as well as Simon Says. I get clear images and they aren't hard to place on a stamping block with little adjusting. The little word stamps by Ali Edwards are horrible. I can't see the word clearly and it always comes out crooked.
I am thinking of placing an order with Elle's Studio and it made me think of this.

Concord & 9th, Catherine Pooler, and My Favorite Things have been great for me. I have a stamp from one of the SSS Stamptember collabs that is very similar to a C&9th produced stamp (variations on the same monster) and the C&9th is much better quality. I don't know if I got a bad one from SSS or if their collabs weren't so good but the image was not "cut" as deep as it should be so parts of the monster's tummy that shouldn't get ink sometimes get dirty and transfer when I stamp. Gina K, Honey Bee Stamps and The Ton also seem to be great quality.

I was pleasantly surprised by my EP stamps (from the club kits back when they first started) - I'm not a big stamper but I broke them out recently and they stamped really clean and clear.

Unless things have changed (my experience is from 2012-2014) there are only 2 or 3 photopolymer manufacturers that the stamp companies use to produce their stamps.
As long as you are using stamps made from USA photopolymer, the quality of the stamped images should be similar across the board, regardless of the company that designed the stamp.

As long as you are using stamps made from USA photopolymer, the quality of the stamped images should be similar across the board, regardless of the company that designed the stamp. Photopolymer is a mix so while made in USA is a good seal of quality overall, the mix can vary from one company to another, one batch to the next. I've had stamps made with US photopolymer sold by a same brand that varied a bit in quality. Still, much better than floppy acrylic! I also remember that the Kelly Purkey stamp sets were way stickier than other companies for some reason. Great quality but I had to unpeel them from the plastic sheet carefully or I'd risk tearing them applying the amount of pressure needed to "rip" them off the sheet. My main issue has been the finish of the stamping surface. I've had the displeasure of finding out, many months after purchase, when finally using a particular stamp in a set that the surface wasn't even/level. Sometimes the difference is so significant that I never managed to get a proper image. Very annoying. And since it was so late after purchase, no way of getting a refund or replacement shipped out. In a same alpha set, I've also had varying thickness of the individual stamps so I can't stamp several letters at a time when I use it. Not the worst problem to have but still frustrating.

sleepingbooty ,thanks for that explanation! I have had nothing but beautiful stamps from Gina K. However, Simon SS have really fluctuated in quality. Yes, I remember the Kelly Purkey super sticky ones.

I think my Elle’s studio stamps are really good. I’ve been pleased with all of them I’ve ordered. Better than my AE ones for sure.

In recent years I think they have all been great quality. The greetery, the ton, lawn fawn, honey bee, altenew, hello bluebird, all fantastic quality.

I recently got an alphabet set from Elle's Studio and I love it, it stamps beautifully. The only thing I don't like is that it seems to have lost its stick very quickly and the stamps are all falling off the backing. Not sure if that's more because they're very small stamps or something. (On a side note, if anyone has any tips on making stamps sticky again I'd really appreciate it!)

I'm the odd one out - but I have everything from Lawn Fawn to Aliexpress stamps and I've yet to get one that hasn't stamped nice and clear!

I had some stamps that weren’t sticking anymore, and I was able to get the stickiness back by washing them with Dawn dish detergent.

If you had to name the top three companies that you have been very happy with the quality of their acrylic stamps, what would they be... [bold/italics is mine] In my experience, all acrylic stamps are poor quality. I only own a dozen or so photopolmer stamps sets, since I prefer wood mounted rubber & exclusively incorporate stamping into layouts (not cardmaking, planning, stamp art, junk journals, etc.). ...(On a side note, if anyone has any tips on making stamps sticky again I'd really appreciate it!) Be certain to employ the sink drain stopper before gently washing (not soaking) clear stamps in warm soapy water (use a soap without moisturizers/etc.), rinsing thoroughly with plain warm water, & letting them air dry (not on paper or cloth that can cling to the wet stamp) to regain their "stickiness." HTH

I really like Stampin Up, PinkFresh Studios, and Lawn Fawn. I think they all make really nice clear stamps and although from time to time I struggle it usually winds up being operator error. LOL
