Cocoa Vanilla have just announced their next collection. You can see the full line (and enter to win it) on their blog here.

Firstly I'm so glad I put a caveat in my 50 layouts before spending goal that I could buy the new Cocoa Vanilla line if they released it before I've made all my layouts I'm most excited to see it's a "boy" line that is not full of boy words. I like quite a few pieces of this, the black star print and all the puffy stars especially, although the space theme and all the love you to the moon and back stuff feels really overdone at this point.

Love it! It will mix with the "Legendary" nicely. I hoard my CV because it's so expensive, but now I'm starting to have too much of it - need to USE it!

I love this collection and will try hard to remember to buy it.
However, why is this "a masculine collection.... for all the guys in your life."
I'm sorry... Am I missing all the girthy penis icons somewhere?! Am I seeing stars when everyone else sees puffy testicle stickers?
Why the heck does blue, orange, and stars equal male? Can we just please, please, please stop gendering our colors and shapes?!

I’ll be picking up some of this for sure. I love how versatile is it. I have all boys and it’s so nice to have things I can use for their pages. No pink or flowers makes this mamas heart happy. It is similar to legendary so that’s the only thing holding me back from grabbing it al. I went overboard and bought all of that and then some so I’ll just add in some with this.

I like all of the colors. I like most of the designs.
I do not need more paper. I do not need more paper. Repeat. I do not need more paper.
Sigh

I really like it, even though it is very similar to Legendary. It will work well for my teen grandson's layouts.

Oh I so did not need to see this. This line I will fall off the 50 layouts wagon for. It's been so long since CV has had a boy line. Now I need to see how many LOs I can get done between now and release lol.

Cocoa Vanilla definitely sticks to the same designs and colors. That can be a plus, however. I already mix Legendary and Boys Rule, so another line I can mix in will be nice. I'll buy one of everything except the epoxy buttons. Why do scrapbook manufacturers still use epoxy? I love the diecut titles. I've used a ton of them from the Legendary line. This post is timely, I just scrapped a page last night using Legendary.

I love this - I appreciate that the only 'boy' part seems to be the packaging - I wish that would be gender neutral too. I love that there are so many non-themed embellishments -it looks very versatile. Adding it to my wishlist and reminding myself I'm frozen for a reason

No one does boy-friendly lines like CVS - in a world with manufacturers stuck on pink and flowers, it’s so nice to have an option without them, and one that doesn’t scream “boy” in the embellishments. So happy to see this!!

I love that the color base is blues! I have not bought CV. What is the texture/weight of their paper?

I am so fed up with colors being assigned to gender. It's way beyond time to stop doing this. I am so turned off by the "masculine" comment that I won't be buying this even though I do like it and for sure would use it.

This will be a hard pass for me and help me save some money. I usually buy all CV collections. This one is not my color esthetic at all.

I bought a crap load of Legendary. This would make a nice companion collection. Legendary is used for my dog Cato’s layouts. He’s a light colored husky so the blues work beautifully with his pictures.

I think they removed the word masculine, now it just says for all of the guys in your life.
I’m thrilled to see a collection without pink or coral. I love their 2 previous lines - boys rule & legendary. Cocoa Vanilla’s other lines in general tend to be pretty heavy on the pink/peach/coral. Very pretty, just my style. Other manufacturers, too, not just CV
CV papers are a nice, heavy weight.

I love that collection, but I don't need it and I'm on a spending freeze so I'll pass.
PS - I'm getting so much better at passing on products I seriously don't need.

Can we just please, please, please stop gendering our colors and shapes?! I completely agree. The papers that I reach for over and over to scrap myself are black stars. I like making pages with florals and pink and whatever else is girl appropriate but I am definitely a black stars and skulls kind of girl and I’m sure I’m not the only one. That’s why I’m so happy this line is not filled with “boy” phrases, as her previous lines have been.

As far as the male, boy, masculine theme many designers use to describe their papers, I am fine with it for people to help locate papers that work entirely for males. A vast majority of papers work for females. So much pink, pastel colors, and flowers in so many lines. Of course anyone can use any line they want, but I have a preference for less of those three things. I don't need papers to actually say boy or use masculine phrases, I just need papers that work well (the whole line preferably) for males. I think it is okay for lines to be gender geared without screaming you can only use them for one gender. I'd love to see lines that have a more female geared line on one side of the paper and more male geared on the other. That way anyone can use the colors that work the best with their kid/s.

TFS! Nothing from this collection is added to my wish list, since it's too similar to Legendary (on which I also passed). Boys Rule with its cool color palette, charcoal woodgrain & other versatile/usable patterns, etc. remains my favorite CV line, so I would welcome its re-release or an extension of the line (e.g. Boys Rule Too).
