I'm new to 9X12.
I would like to use some full-page photos and my printer only goes to 8.5 X 11 and I don't care to outsource printing (too lazy--although I just remembered there's a copy center near my office that wouldn't be too challenging to get to and they could print on 11X17 cardstock).
While I'm happy to stick some 8.5 x 11s in there as-is, what are some of the other techniques you all use to have a 9X12 page with mostly a photo on it?
I'd love to see some examples.
I'm thinking washi on the top and bottom, layer over patterned paper, etc.
Please share some ideas. I'm diving in! Thank you!

journalling, PP, washi, run banners under the photo to peek out at the top/bottom.
use any 'white' space in the photo as well - add a title or a cluster or a quote
(8.5x11 scrapper who uses 8x10s at times - similar issues)

(8.5x11 scrapper who uses 8x10s at times - similar issues) Do you do any hybrid scrapping? I like using an occasional template in my December Daily and I've only used In a Creative Bubble which are 3X8 or TN sized. If you have any 8.5X11 layered template designers that you like, I'd love to know. There are 60 pages of them on the Lilypad and it's a bit much to scroll through.

If you have the paper, you can print 8.5x12 (or longer, legal paper is 8.5x14). It's not quite 9x12 but close!

Shimelle has done a lot of large photo layouts (on 12x12), but she often uses the same technique: a small border of pattern or cardstock around the photo to bring it up to the full page size, and then a cluster that overlaps the photo. For some reason it doesn't want to let me post the photos here, so below are links to a couple of her blog posts with the images: large photo designlots of large photo designs

Suzlee72 has been scrapping some large photos lately. You may want to look through her feed on Instagram and see if anything works.
Another scrapper that I’ve scraplifted quite a few oversized photos is Susan Weinroth. I don’t know if you’d find her work in a gallery, but if you search “Susan weinroth scrapbook on Pinterest, some come up.
These are both 12x12 scrappers, but maybe you could adapt.

Thanks for mentioning Susan! I just pinned a ton of her LOs. She has great 6+ multi photo 1pg LOs which is what I'm always looking for.

Lots of great ideas. I made some little drawings. Man, Shimelle always has her embellishment game ON. I would love to learn how to use templates but haven't yet. I just started using them for the first time with this year's DD. I bought a couple by In a Creative Bubble because I like the simple style. I was confused because I have a mac and all of the tutorials I watched online were for PC. But it's actually quite easy. There is a pull-down menu in the main menu where you create the clipping mask to the layer. None of the other things worked and I think it's because everyone has different versions of photoshop. If you have photoshop and want to try it out, I might be able to help you. When you buy the templates, the hard work has been done. You really are just dragging your photos over. These are both 12x12 scrappers, but maybe you could adapt. Thank you! I'm going to check these out on my lunch.

I would probably glue to the middle of a piece of white cardstock so it looks like a white photo border.
Maybe adhere 2 pictures back to back and staple it in the middle of the page protector for a layered see-through effect to the other pages.

Thanks - I don't have photoshop - I have ACDsee which should work with templates but I haven't figured that out yet
