I have thought this for a while now... For sure the big shots, the little guys maybe not, although they would be his devoted army. The end for the rest of us. Trump says he might pardon Jan. 6 attackers if he's elected againSarah K. Burris January 29, 2022 www.rawstory.com/trump-january-6-pardon-promise/

The horrors and nightmare scenarios with Trump are never ending. Regrettably, if DeSantis runs and wins, he might do the exact same thing and pardon them. I don't trust any Republican politician who spoke out against the Jan 6 committee or remained silent when the G squad called the insurrectionists "political prisoners". All of the Republicans who refuse to stand up to Trump created this monster and are enabling him with their silence. Maybe if Trump supporters lose in the primaries this spring, some Republicans will grow a spine. I'm not holding my breath for that, though. I think Joe Walsh had it exactly right. I'm going to bed.

I'll cosign what Joe Walsh said.
This traitorous nonsense needs to stop. Will they enjoy a true dystopia? (Don't answer that.)

This whole thing is getting more dangerous every day!! Trump's demand for 'massive protests' if he's prosecuted is 'inviting mob action': conservativeSarah K. Burris January 29, 2022 (Note, both NY AG James and Manhattan DA are Black. ETA: DA Fulton Co GA Fani Willis... is also Black) "He seems to be inviting mob action against officers of the law if he turns out to be at legal risk. Pretty dangerous," said Bill Kristol. www.rawstory.com/trump-urges-mob-violence-if-hes-prosecuted/There more tweets in the piece. A lot more

At this point Trump will say or do anything for a headline. It's all bluster.

It really feels like Bizarro World when I find myself wholeheartedly agreeing with something Joe Walsh has said.
You know that Trump truly is a danger when that happens.

Was Trump suggesting he is a victim of racism? He is the ultimate example of white privilege playing victim. Unbelievable.
And does he still think Hillary Clinton should be in jail over her e-mails? Does he realize his own chief of staff didn’t use secure servers around Jan 6? Or did one of his goons invent something like Hunter Biden’s laptop?
is he just throwing stuff at a wall, hoping something sticks?

Sounds just like his empty promises for “the best healthcare plan anyone on the planet has ever seen if you vote for me”
He’s a grifter. People who believe him are dumb. People who give money to him are either corrupt or dumber.

If you think it’s just trump, I’ve got a bridge to nowhere to sell you. WAKE UP! ITS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. People think it’s being hysterical to say this 246 year experiment is over. It’s not. As soon as the republicans get control, which may well be next year, there will NEVER be another real election. They will overturn any democratic win. If you (general you) can’t see that, you’re a completely oblivious moron.
If you still identify as a “republican”, then you are complicit and want that to happen. Otherwise, you’d change your affiliation and vote republicans out…but you won’t because abortion.

I am registered as Republican and vote for least likely in primaries, but vote Democrat in other elections.
I get next to nothing from republicans in the mail or emails.

DeSantis has been getting too much attention, and if Trump could become President, he *thinks* that he could do a lot to get rid of his problems. He would have a hard time shutting state investigations down tho, esp. the one in NY, which has a Democratic Governor.

I’m registered as an independent. Unless it’s changed recently, in NH we can change our affiliation the day of an election, vote, then change it back. In 2016, I voted in the Republican primary just to vote against Trump. I’m not sure what to do about this year’s primaries. Our Senator, Maggie Hassan is up for re-election in a vulnerable spot. I would like the guy with the lowest chances of beating her in the general election to win the primary, but I’m not sure that I can actually cast a vote for some far right nutcase. This guy has a good chance of winning, as an outsider, anAfghanistan war vet who literally rode in on horseback. He opposed Biden’s vaccine mandate for private employers. donbolduc.com

Maybe he thinks they can’t touch him if he’s running for election, too. At a minimum, he can claim it’s a political witch hunt.

I used to have a co-worker who would go to extreme lengths to look busy to get out of work. I always thought all his BS seemed to be more effort than just doing his damn job in the first place.
Sometimes trump reminds me of an evil/worse version of that. If only he had redirected himself from all the scamming, cover-ups, backsplaining and covering his ass.. he's in a perpetual cover-my-ass mode. He's in too deep and everything he does now is just more wasted effort to save himself from the last dumb thing he did. Lather, rinse, repeat. He can't stop himself. And he knows no other way. It'll never be over with him, until it/he is.

mollycoddleHopefully and probably, but there is an election coming up in NY. Georgia could become a problem. The special grand jury in Fulton County has been approved. They will be called for May, I think. They will do their job whether to refer the case to a regular grand jury or not. Then the regular grand jury will decide whether to indict or not. Talking MONTHS in total...

How anyone can justify him and his behaviour is beyond me. They justify it because they know if the net comes down on Trump it will likely come down on them too. They’re all in it together thick as thieves. And Trump seems to be scrambling now because these investigations are all closing in from multiple sides. I just hope he can be held accountable for his part in all of these messes before too much more time passes. It’s just like what he did before the 2020 election by claiming it would be rigged if he didn’t win. He *knows* he’s guilty so he’s setting the stage now for what he sees coming down the tracks by getting all of his stooges riled up for when one or more of these investigations pans out. I’m just hoping that when it does, it’s not too late (and it might already be too late).
