A peach or even a coral color would be awesome!

I'm going to guess that the new color is a neutral - specifically a deeper iron grey (Seasoned Skillet, perhaps?) or a desaturated orange/brown (with the name being something like Terracotta Tile, Crumbling Flowerpot, or Unglazed Terracotta). They should hire you! Those are great names I can totally imagine them using, lol. I tried to watch that video, but holy cow it was very long and it often sounded (to me) that Tim was chiding people for asking questions or not understanding. Yes. I was browsing for a video to watch while I crafted the other day and hovered over this one for a second before remembering that Tim always sounds rather impatient or maybe condescending when people are asking questions. I'm sure it's a bit frustrating to be asked the same questions over and over again but the last few times I've watched him I haven't liked his tone.

There was a little of that when I took a class with him about 6 or 7 years ago, but it's a stronger tone now. Very off-putting.

If people can't interact without getting annoyed at the "dumb" questions I wish they'd just post videos where they demo the products and don't interact with the audience. I'd prefer to watch a video where he just plays with all the stuff and chitchats, even if it was long and unedited and rambling.

If you're hosting a live event, then you need to be prepared for all kinds of questions. And yes, you might have to answer the same question many times. I've seen that irritable, annoyed attitude from others who host live events, and it's a real turn-off. I actually stopped watching someone (and buying her products) because she told customers who said that an item was missing from their kits: "I don't know why you can't find it. Maybe it's stuck to something else. Maybe you're blind." Seriously? Maybe a bunch of kits went out with a missing item! SMH.

I agree with you 100%. If you're hosting a live event, then you need to be prepared for all kinds of questions. I was just watching a live copic coloring technique video and the person was getting very snippy with the questions coming via the chat. She sighed and made a big to-do over having to answer the same questions, even saying, "Can't some more informed people in the chat answer these?" and "Watch the replay to get that answered." I had to turn her off. I don't care for the 'tude!

I was like I get it's been a long day but jeez we paid for this.

I love his products but I can’t watch him. As his popularity grows so does his ego. He refused to allow Sizzix to show or launch his products with all the other designers. Sizzix told retailers he was a “Diva” to work with!

Periwinkle blue? Just guessing since it's the new Pantone color.

OOOPS! I can't imagine it's not a leak, the day before the release. Is that Shimelle's peach?! Was it posted by Checkered Cottage? I see it when I search Tim Holtz Saltwater Taffy but when I click it the content is hidden now.

Is that Shimelle's peach?! That was my first thought too, so I ran to one of the screenshots I have saved of her finished pages to check the colour against the inking she did in the Jan? kit with the never-ending doilies. It looks like a decent match and I'm intrigued to see the swatch samples of this.

I saw another completely unrelated product named saltwater taffy that was described as a pearlescent pale pink. (I don't know what color saltwater taffy is). This looks peachy pink to me, but who knows, given the differences between screens. I guess we'll know tomorrow.

Saltwater Taffy comes in about a bazillion flavors and colors. I bet you guys can come up with way better names then that. Hell, peachy keen would be a better name then that.

Heidi Swapp is getting the credit for Shimelle Peach... sigh... whatever. Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure she was trying to mix the color in response to (ETA or in conversation with?) Shimelle asking for a distress peach.

I love that the Peas guessed the right color! I was hoping for a yellow but I'm absolutely going to use this as an excuse to place an order. It will be a fun color to play for spring. I think it may need a few friends. I haven't ordered any new distress inks in a while. joblackford I'm going to try the makeup brushes you recommended too!

Just watched Jennifer McGuire use this new color and it’s a must have for me. It looks like just the shade of peach I was hoping for.

In the live TH mentioned that saltwater taffy comes in every imaginable color but regardless of what he calls it I will be calling it Shimelle Peach forever more.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! Such a soft pretty color that I can envision doing a lot with, especially now that I’m digging stenciling and ink blending so much.

I'm pretty sure the peach part has to be the second half of the name to fit their naming convention. There are a couple of inks where the "colour" is first - mustard seed and black soot spring to mind, but yes, the general naming convention is descriptor-colour. Like you, though, I will always think of this colour as Shimelle peach. Off to check out the live so I can see what all the swatches look like.
