I am making a gift Baby album and making by own project life cards. How bulky can you make the cards. I usually make animals dies with foam will that be to thick?

I'm trying to figure out whether you're worried about the total width of the album or the pockets themselves? I'm a flat embellisher mostly so I'm really not the best person to answer your question here but I'd think if you used foam-mounted die-cuts on most cards, it would significantly reduce the amount of total pages you can add to the album. Could you perhaps mix it by having some elements directly adhered to the card? As long as you balance out the placement of the thicker (with foam thus) cards through the album (not always at the same spot in the page protector), you should be fine though.
Maybe someone with a dimensional style that uses foam, pop dots, Thickers on most cards can hop in here and let you know how many pages they manage to add to a single album with this aesthetic? This should help you determine whether to hold back here and there on the foam or to go all out.

Yes, that is what I mean. As I use a die and cut out a lamb and use it on a card insert. It just seem to make the page protector pocket look funny as the rest lay flat.
