Approximately 8 oz or so.
I want to put sequins into it, but like the idea of it being nonbreakable.
I saw plastic mason jars filled with scrappy embellishments at M's or maybe ACM, but they were $12.99 and I didn't even like the embellies, plus they had some kind of labels that I wasn't sure would come off easily.
Any idea where I could get these? I didn't see any near the glass mason jars in the craft stores.

I'm pretty sure I have seen them at Hobby Lobby.

I know that I saw them since school started. I can't remember where. Michaels is where I usually go for crafty stuff so it was most likely there. My other guess would be Walmart because I've been down the kitchen supplies row a lot lately. Good luck with your search. I bet your sequins would look cute in the jars.

I've seen them at Kmart - but I'm in Australia!

It is sitting in my yard sale pile I've started for the spring. PM me with your address and I will send it to you.

Do you have a Tuesday Morning? They have a bunch of jars there. Don't know if they are plastic.

Walmart has some depending on how well your craft section is (one of my stores is decent)
Michaels has them empty as well.
Hobby Lobby has them.

Joann's had them earlier this season. They were near the colored glass ones, with "accessories ".

Why not buy one of the plastic drinking cup/jars and just replace the straw/lid with a real cover. Have one in your purse and try it on the jar before you buy just to make sure it screws on correctly. I have seen some pretty reasonable out there. lu

Ball makes an 8 oz plastic canning jar for freezers. The link is from Amazon, but Lowes, Ace, Walmart, or Home Depot or any store that has a good area for canning supplies might have them as well. I've used them to make strawberry freezer jam and it's a good size to send in with school lunches. link
