There are so many awful things about Jan 6 and Republican actions and statements since then. Republicans refusal to vote for the Jan 6 committee after the Democrats conceded to every one of their demands is inexcusable. The Republican attempts to whitewash history, it was an ordinary day with tourists etc are reprehensible. Republican attempts to blame Democrats for Jan 6 are possibly even worse. The false claims that the insurrectionists were antifa, Democrats in disguise etc are irresponsible and reckless. The false claims that Trump requested National Guard troops or that Nancy Pelosi blocked the request are offensive, reckless and irresponsible. Somehow the Democrats are responsible for the violence caused by insurrectionists who were invited and incited by Trump? And before the conservatives point out Nancy Pelosi's role in Capitol security, call out Mitch McConnell. Because he had the exact same responsibilities but no Republicans are blaming him. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/01/jordans-false-claim-that-pelosi-denied-request-national-guard-troops/www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/02/trump-falsely-claims-he-requested-10000-troops-rejected-by-pelosi/

Five years ago they were blaming Democrats for the rise of Trump. So much for the party of personal responsibility.

I think it's the sheer audacity of Trump's attempt to blame Nancy Pelosi that bothers me the most. He is 100% responsible for the insurrection. He invited and encouraged his supporters to come to DC, then incited a riot and put Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi's lives in danger. And the icing on the cake, instead of taking responsibility, he puts up legal challenges and tries to blame Nancy Pelosi. I don't understand how people don't realize what an absolute lunatic he is.
Not just the brainwashed republicans or the power hungry gop. I mean the normal every day person that does their very best living their life, raising good kids. They have to see him for what he is one day right?!!

The stupid never stops, does it? I would have to look it up, but I do know that Senate and House committees have oversight of the Capitol Police. I *think* that there is also a Board that has direct oversight. Gah! I am sure that Nancy Pelosi does not have direct oversight. Now, I know that both the Senate and House have a Sergeant at Arms, and Pelosi and McConnell probably have oversight of them. I am pretty sure that after Jan 6th, those positions were replaced. But I am relying on memory, so… They just make stuff up. All of the time. ETA: just did a quick search. Both Sergeants-ar-Arms sit on yield 4 person Board which has oversight of the Capitol Police. So neither Pelosi nor McConnell control the police, but they each have one person reporting to them who sits on the Board. I don’t know why I am typing all of this, except that I became curious. 🤷♀️🤦♀️

If it was not "their" fault - then why don't they testify to the January 6 committee?

If it was not "their" fault - then why don't they testify to the January 6 committee? Have they even been asked to? I did a quick search and nowhere is it being reported that Nancy Pelosi is refusing to speak to the January 6th Committee. Link please Edited to add maybe I'm not understanding who you are referring to.

This can’t come as a surprise he always blames someone else. Sickening. I hope it bites him in the butt. I want the truth to come out but I doubt they will believe it. They still think it was just a nice day with some tourists that were invited in snd talking and joking with security. How quickly they changed their tune about domestic terrorism when it doesn’t fit their agenda.

They start with a kernel of truth and then twist to an extreme to fit their narrative.

Not to mention, what does he think the national guard would have done when they were there? If the NG was having to fight back the mob going into the capitol, I don’t think that would have been lovely at all.

Weird that Trump would so willingly pardon the antifa and Dems 🙄 This is an excellent point. He said last week that he might pardon the Jan 6th insurrectionists. Why would he pardon a bunch of Dems? Once again he shot off his mouth and unwittingly exposed the truth. Yeah, he’s got the best brain.

T-rump always takes credit, but never takes blame, because everything he does is "perfect." If you don't believe me, just ask him.
It seems that stupid is just as hard to keep track of as lies.
