How is everyone doing? I am between Rochester NY and Buffalo (closer to Rochester). The snow started about 5am and there’s maybe an additional inch from yesterday however the intensity has increased over the last hour.
Stay safe all.

I would guess that as of this morning, we have 10-12 inches. Yesterday was the really bad day. It's slowed down this morning.

So far, rain yesterday and sleet this morning. We are supposed to transition to snow this afternoon. I am hoping that we don’t get much, because we still have snow pack from 2 weeks ago. And hopefully there won’t be power outages. People are being urged to stay off of the icy roads.

I'm in MI. We have about eight inches I'd say. I think we might get a little more, but not much. I'm working at home.

It is only a couple of inches of ice, but it has shut down the entire north Texas area. Yesterday many school districts announced that they would be closed on Thursday and Friday. We have a coating of ice on everything and then some snow atop that. As I write, a chartered bus is stranded on an overpass near downtown. A heavy duty wrecker was unable to help. There are cars there as well . Now the road near there is closed. Luckily we still have power.
I think the entire state has been on edge because of the disaster last February when most of the state had no power for days.

Initially they were calling for 1-2 feet here. Grocery stores were out of everything on Monday. They’ve adjusted it down to 10-12” and honestly I’m not sure we’ll even get that. On Tuesday they called school for yesterday and today (some schools even called it for tomorrow), the snow will be done this evening, winds will determine if we go tomorrow.

I am in North western VT and we are still in 40s with some rain. It is supposed to change over to snow by mid morning. Our heaviest is predicted to be tonight into tomorrow with maybe 12 to 18 inches…but no snow yet.

They were predicting about 8 inches here in KC, with the possibility of another one to two overnight. I think we got three inches total out of this entire storm. I'm fine with that. I'm over snow.

I think the entire state has been on edge because of the disaster last February when most of the state had no power for days. No one that I know trusts ERCOT to be able to keep the power on. Hopefully they have done enough work to be able to keep it going this year. We are expecting an icy mix later today and this evening which should essentially shut down the city. Our icy mix or snow flurries is probably the equivalent of 8-10" up North, simply because we are not used to this and not really prepared to deal with it. It doesn't help that we have all these freeways, ramps and bridges! People here are challenged to drive on a clear sunny day, but throw in winter conditions and all bets are off! I'll be staying home until Sat.

Louisville, KY here. Currently raining but predicted to transition through the mix to ice, and lots of it. Just praying we don't lose power.

Our biggest issue yesterday was the wind. It snowed all day -- and here in New Mexico, we are THRILLED about the moisture. But the wind! My sister's wind app clocked it at 45 MPH here (we live just west of a canyon so we get "canyon winds"!) and the wind blew all the snow. We have some drifts and some bare ground! Today the issue is the COLD!

We got more snow in the last two days than I can remember in a long time. Giving it two paws up! My husband and I tend to call the snowfalls above the butthole and below the butthole for accumulation.

Here in west central Indiana we got heavy rain Tuesday afternoon and all thru the night, transitioned to snow early yesterday. Got 8” by late afternoon when I got home. I haven’t ventured out since but I’m guessing we’ve got over 10” now. Started snowing again a few hours ago. The wind has really picked up which is a concern since we are out in the country. Roads will drift shut quickly.

All the Houston area teachers have been so bummed to see our colleagues in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio get TWO DAYS off while we all got up and went to school today (I know, insert tiny violin playing here). We're really hoping for at least one. Attachments:

It’s been sleeting for a few hours here. Everything is coated in ice.
All flights are canceled today.
This afternoon it’s supposed to switch to snow and accumulate 6 inches. Unfortunately the temps won’t be above freezing until next Wednesday.

Since I got 29.1” of snow on Saturday, I’m ALL SET with snow for this winter. Right now it’s 44* and raining on/off. There’s a slight chance it’ll turn to snow but I don’t think so because it’s going to be in the 40’s until Friday night until we drop to 16*.
Hoping everyone stays safe and warm.

It’s still 29 degrees here. We need cold temps so that the sleet turns to snow. It’s happening really slowly.

I'm a little surprised they didn't cancel today. Some reports I've seen show chances of the mixed stuff showing up as early as mid-afternoon. That would sure make carpool time loads of fun! Fingers crossed you get a day off tomorrow! Stay warm in the meantime.

Southern Michigan. I think we got about 9-10" of snow. We're staying in until at least tomorrow, maybe Saturday. This time of the year, we don't go out much as it is.
DH's in person meetings yesterday and today were cancelled or moved to online.

It rained all day yesterday and the temperatures dropped and it’s sleeting here now (outside of Cincinnati). We decided to work from home yesterday morning as people were encouraged to stay off the roads today. I’ve been listening to my neighbor girls chipping ice off their car for the last ten minutes. They’re out there laughing and having a ball or I’d go out and help. It’s suppose to start snowing in a bit and through tomorrow night. Monica* , I love your new photo! Merge, it’s such insult to injury when your school district is the only one that doesn’t call off! Crossing fingers for you tomorrow. You guys deserve it!

Just rain so far. We're only supposed to get 3-6in. DD in Buffalo said they had 2 in. already when we texted briefly this morning. Fortunately the rain and mild temps (it's 40 here rn) have melted away a lot of what we had. I see grass in parts of my yard. This winter has been low in terms of accumulation here. I'll take it.

I am in SE Pennsylvania. We have rain right now. Then it is supposed to switch to a mix to become sleet and then to snow. We have different models saying different things. One says mix tomorrow and then just rain on Saturday. Another model says snow all day tomorrow and then rain.

Just light snow in Central New York so far but it looks like it will be ugly later. I've been going to look out the window periodically (no window in my office) and will probably head home if/when it starts to snow heavily. Definitely hoping to work from home tomorrow.
