Just light snow in Central New York so far but it looks like it will be ugly later. I've been going to look out the window periodically (no window in my office) and will probably head home if/when it starts to snow heavily. Definitely hoping to work from home tomorrow. It’s picked up here over the last hour.

Where I live in Texas (Amarillo), we aren't having as much snow as they predicted. We're only at 4in I think, but the radar shows more snow this afternoon. There is a bunch of ice though. What's making things rough here is we are so cold....its like 8 degrees here right now and the wind was whipping earlier. Everything here is shut down & people are actually staying home for once.

Meanwhile, after a cold snap, it is 83 and sunny here. Feel free to metaphorically slap me!

Here in the Texas panhandle we have had maybe 4 inches of snow, it's hard to tell because of the wind that came with it. The big problem is that the chill factor is -19! And I still have to come to work!

Initially they were calling for 1-2 feet here. Grocery stores were out of everything on Monday. They’ve adjusted it down to 10-12” and honestly I’m not sure we’ll even get that. On Tuesday they called school for yesterday and today (some schools even called it for tomorrow), the snow will be done this evening, winds will determine if we go tomorrow. I am in SE MI and it was about the same around here. Well, they called for up to 24" initially, then 8-15. I think we were closer to 5-6 when all was said and done. I really hope they don't call school again tomorrow, they were already crabbing on the news about districts running out of snow days before this snowmageddon. I am thinking it was from the kids that were making (empty) threats to the schools (to get out of school) after the Oxford shooting, because we haven't really had any large storms around here prior to this.

We’re in the rain phase now. Snow expected to start tomorrow morning. I spent my morning doing laundry & cleaning. Currently making corn chowder for dinner. I always go thru a nesting phase before a big storm. I’m dreading this one. I hate February. It’s my least favorite month of the year.

We are supposed to get ice in southwest PA but it mostly will stick to trees and power lines as the roads are warmer (2 45 degree days). But could get a layer on the roads so everything is closing early. I worry about taking my 79 pd. German Shepherd out. She cannot use her back legs at all so she is on a special harness. I worry about us both slipping on the yard as it's starting to get icy (8 inches of snow melted in two days).

I’m also in SE MI. They already called us for tomorrow. It’s our last snow day. Kids took home devices Tuesday bc if we can’t return Monday we’ll pivot to virtual learning. We lost a couple of dues to lack of bus drivers (COVID).

No snow in Southern California, but COLD temps for us! 26 degrees currently. Wow, where are you? The high today is going to be sunny and 66...which is COLD, but wow not that cold. You in the mountains? Monica* I love your new avatar, very pretty mama! Stay safe and warm everyone, I pray your power holds up, which I'm amazed to be typing out. I'm in the high Desert. We're at about 1800 feet. LA county though. It's warmer now.

Central PA
Rain all day. Weather is supposed to go to single digits
for several days. Snow is always iffy here. Most of the
time we get 3-5 inches, since we are in a valley.
Occasionally, we get slammed with 8 inches to 2 feet.
Ice is always the biggest risk.

Texas power out for over 70,000. The grid is working. Wind and ice are the issues at the moment. 'Déjà vu all over again’: Despite Gov. We are in S. NH waiting patiently if tomorrow will be a snow day. I think they are going to wait until morning but it still makes me anxious.
We are going to get more ice I think. Right now it is really foggy out because it was warmer today at 46 degrees.

NEPA here. We were originally supposed to have up to 2 feet. That got retracted and 10-12 inches was predicted with ice and sleet. So far we have maybe an inch. The roads are a bit icy but the plows seem to be keeping up with it. Very anticlimactic.

I'm in northern Indiana. We have about 12". Tomorrow is supposed to be extremely cold. Our schools have been closed Wed and Thurs, a two hour delay tomorrow. My husband's terminal had also been closed for two days, which never happens.

Central Oklahoma here. I'd guess that I have about 6 inches of snow in my yard and it is still snowing. Should be ending soon. It's also very windy and the wind chill is bitterly cold (below zero). I really hate winter weather.

We're getting ice right now, and then we're going to get snow. Lights have already been flickering. I heard a transformer blew not too far from us. We're just crossing our fingers that the ice isn't too thick, but they're calling for the possibility of half an inch, which isn't good.

Not sure how much snow we have gotten because it is blowing around as fast as it is falling. I think they downgraded us to 8-10” but we’ve had two snowplows overturn in our county today and got placed under a state of emergency this evening. And no school for the third day in a row. The end of the forecast said something to the effect of the temperatures and moisture streams not looking to let up in the extended forecast 😩. I kinda feel like I am having early covid flashbacks... like oh cool let’s stay home for a while. We can sleep in and then get a bunch of “stuff” done. At least tried to get some stuff done but this storm can move on out so we can get back to school Monday!

Yeesh.. My poor state. Look at all of the counties with snow/ice/water emergencies. My county is not among them-yet. We just went from a Level 2 to a Level 3. It has literally been raining ice here for hours upon hours. My understanding is that the storm has just kind of stalled out while sitting on top of us. Obviously, with the change in level, everything that wasn't already closed will be now. Praying we are able to maintain power. Please be careful, all.

I started out the day in a hoodie and fleece leggings, but then I started cleaning and warmed up REALLY fast! It's pretty darned toasty in here, and we are blessed with the warmth.

Well, my kid called me from college about 5pm to say all Friday classes were cancelled,
and he wanted to come home now. Of course I said yes, please be careful.
Transmission started to fail about 30 minutes from home, but he limped it home.
Came in about 2 hours before everything turned to solid ice, and keeps on coming.
Even our BAKERY has closed until Saturday! How bad is this thing going to get??
