Hello everyone, welcome to the weekend! I hope you all manage to fill your weekend with lots of fun things. Here is today's sketchy challenge. This is one of the latest Page Maps sketches from February 2022: I realise that it can be more difficult to find smaller photos when you're using actual printed photos instead of digital photos. You could turn some of the smaller photos into embellishments, or patterned squares, or even into one bigger photo. Here is my layout for this sketch: I have also converted the sketch to a single page 12x12 for those who would prefer. I think it could easily be converted to 8.5x12 as well: Here is my layout for the 12x12 sketch:
My twist this week is a very easy Tic Tac Toe. Just choose three of the options in a line to fulfil the twist. For those of you who are in a team, you can earn FIVE points for meeting this challenge, and an additional TWO POINT BONUS for also meeting the twist on this same project. If you can complete ALL of the 28-4-28 challenges by the end of this quarter, you can earn a BONUS of 280 points. And because I'm feeling generous today, if you use all 9 tic tac toe options on your project, take a bonus 9 points!

Love the sketch and yes, the single page will convert super easily to a 8.5x11 - thank you...and in fact, I have 2 horizontal photos sitting on my desk right now so I'm going to see if they want to work with this sketch
And your layouts are - as always - gorgeous with the beautiful colours and the perfect embellishments

okay - that LOOKED easier than it turned out to BE...possibly because my photos couldn't be cropped very much and my kit (EP Cat Lover) was down to scraps (it's officially killed now) I don't love it but DH did so... no twist though

Wow wow wow! Love the sketches and your takes on them are stellar, AussieMeg! Can't wait to play with this challenge this week. And Linda, you are SO fast! Love the kitty pic's and those little boy papers work so well with them. Love blue and orange together!

I know I veered from the sketch, but it really did start/inspire the whole layout design I really accomplished the tic tac toe: doodling (the banner line), tags, enamel, dots and a banner. layout buckle up by kirstendrew, on Flickr

AussieMeg thank you for the sketch, and for giving a single page alternative. Your example is so pretty and full of cuteness and fun. Linda what a sweet pile of kitties! You've enjoyed your Cat Lover paper, I can tell. Time to shop for new cat themed paper. kitbop such a lovely layout, so much supporting focus on the big day. Congratulations on the new driver! Here is my sketch layout. I did flowers, banner, dots.

Chinagirl828 such amazing well taken photos. I'm just so impressed how the photos take the limelight but the papers and extras help them shine. Mmm Hmm - magazine worthy level of wow.

Here is my take, I flipped it around and put the photos the other way, and used hexagons for the other challenge. I was able to do the twist on this one, but not the hex one. IMG_3376 by K Mage, on Flickr

kmage Wow, flipping really worked for your layout. Pretty papers in a great 4th of July page. Ryann I see how you used the sketch - and then made it super special. I'm especially liking your lines of stitching instead of squares.

Here ya go! I am using this for the Summer challenge as well. summer family fun by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I think the left hand page fits the sketch better than the right, but I started with the double page sketch. Went for a line on the tic tac toe across the middle: string, stripes, dots.

I'm back again! I went back to the sketch for this layout - turned AussieMeg 's 1 page adaptation on it's side, added a fishtail to the internal photo mat, changed the squares of pp to stars. I really like the way it turned out. layout loudly lit by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I like that the colors of the supplies used match the photos and makes everything feel so cohesive. kmage Hexagons - love the switch you made!! What a fun design and I love your big and bold title!

Sketchy Saturday 2.5.22 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr My version of the 1 page sketch here! It worked out nicely with this paper of the square girls. The picture itself is kind of blurry, but that's what you get for asking your brother to take a picture for you, lol. This neighborhood gives me retro vibes, so I went with it with my supplies, plus the photo of myself, my grandmother, and cousin fits the feminist vibes of the supplies as well.
