Every Monday this February, my challenges will focus on different aspects of layering on your pages/cards. Today, we are layering UNDER the main/focal element. So to meet today's challenge you need to have at LEAST 4 layers under your focal photo/card element. One layer must be a basic mat. The next layers could be more mats, or other designer elements - mine has the starburst papers in the background, and the fishtail banner piece that runs under the photo. I also used tissue paper as one layer. Ink splatters across the background, or stitching under the photo would also count as a layer. Your twist today for 5 bonus points is to use letter STICKERS to make the title on your page (or sentiment on your card) - NOT THICKERS, just regular run-of-the-mill flat stickers. How old are those Heidi Swapp tile letter stickers on my layout? Or those AC scripty letters? I haven't a clue but it felt good to use them! Now shade your eyes. This is a bright layout using Vicki Boutin Colour Study! Oh - I also did this layout about being TOGETHER to get my first one done for the Donna Challenge this month! pandemic party planners by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Fun challenge, kitbop . I left you love in the Gallery for this fabulous page. Oh, and I just SORTED all my stickers and organized them by colour. I should have no problem with this twist, and gramma will be proud of me...

kitbop Thank you for the layer layout challenge. Your page is so lively with fun colors. I'm imagining you when you are retired, looking back at this nicely captured memory. AussieMeg Love your color scheme and your guys are so handsome! Lovely embellishments and balance of elements. kmage , so soft and pretty. Here are my layers, not my favorite page BUT doing it helped me to let go of the Hershey Kiss costume. No one was likely to wear it ever, but it brought back such sweet memories. Now the memory is on the page and the costume is no longer taking up space in my house. Hopefully someone at the thrift store will love it.

kmage, I love that soft peach and green against that inky blue background, and how you kind of interwove the background pieces then placed the photo on top. Sweet story, jjpeapea, and I love the blocking. AussieMeg, there is love in the Gallery.

grammadee you're killing me. Now I want pie. With LOTS of whipped cream. Your beautiful photo in your beautiful layout is soooo tempting. I LOVE how the layers look like a wooden table, tablecloth, doily and plate. Clever!

Thank you for the great challenge! I was able to use up a package of floral die cuts on this layout - that makes me happy! No twist points as I found a Thicker that was a great fit for the title so I went ahead and used it instead of making my own.

kitbop, thank you for this challenge. I love what you did with it. So much fun and such amazing colors throughout. You have love in the gallery. AussieMeg, Ryann, joyfulnana, justjac, and scrappyrabbit, you have love in the gallery. jjpeapea, I laughed out loud as I read about your now being able to let go of the Hershey kiss costume. I do know the feeling. Such a cute page with the kids in costume. I love the layering of the different colors from your photo. Great job. This is mine without the twist. I don't have letter stickers anymore since I got my Silhouette. Splash New Pool
