Anyone else have one? The prices started dropping due to the 2022s coming out soon. I have been obsessing over them for awhile. link to Frame TVWe do not have a large house and my LR is pretty small, and I never wanted a TV in there. We did put a small TV in a built-in book case when then kids got an XBox so I could keep an eye on them when they were younger, but now they are teens and they have a "teen den" in the basement bedroom, so I got rid of the TV in the LR---until I paid attention to the Frame TV. We have been slowly working on remodeling, and I have an INCREDIBLY hard time committing to new decor---particularly since I wanted something a bit nicer to go over our new fireplace/bookcase (just one we built from Amazon.) As a hobby photographer, back-in-the-day scrapbooker, and a person who has a hard time even committing to a style (I love multiple interior design styles), when I realized I could have literally almost an infinite amount of artwork/photo choices for above my mantle AND I could have a "hidden" TV for when I do want to watch a movie here or there, I became obsessed with getting one. Anyway, it arrived last night and am in love so far. We haven't mounted it yet--just have it sitting on the stand, but I have already played around with the gallery, put my own photography up, etc... So, anyone else have one? I am guessing the novelty will wear off some, and I will just have a handful of art I will cycle through--or maybe not. I didn't buy a different frame for it yet. My kids and DH don't think we need one. I think it will give it a more finished look.

Yes! We have one. It sits above our fireplace. I like that I can put a photo on it and it's not just a large black rectangle sitting up there.

The frame tv is on my wish list. Unfortunately, the old one (4 yrs) refuses to die. Once it does I'll be pushing for one.
There are some hacks online for making your own frame for a lot less money than the ones that Samsung sells.

I have seen some TikTok videos and things on Instagram where people build really cool frames for their TV's (some are the Samsung one, and others are just the newer thinner TV's). I like the gold more ornate frames, but I have seen everything from barnwood to ornate gold leaf. Most use rub n buff to make them gold.
Then they use the YouTube art .. looks amazing!
Lot's of inspiration on Instagram!

It's on my wishlist, but it's also on DH's "Over My Dead Body" list. He's such a fun sucker sometimes.
We live in a small house with a small living room and are commitment shy when it comes to hanging decor on the wall.

LOL A TV is necessary for me, but not DH who watches nothing except NPR clips via his phone. That man.

Yes! Have had one for about 1.5 years above our fireplace and LOVE it. I bought it at Costco, and they gave us a limited art subscription, which will probably expire sometime soon. I am bummed, because I love switching the art out every few weeks or according to my mood.

Are you able to upload a picture to use as art? If yes, how techy do you need to be to figure it out?
My parents just bought one (not yet hooked up) and mom wants to use a personal photo. My guess is she'll be needing to call in one of the grandkids for assistance.

What a great idea! I hadn't heard of these before, but of course, now that I have, I need one. I have a rarely used TV in my family room that I assume is going to last for a number of years still. I bought a new tv for my bedroom after accidentally knocking the existing one to the ground. The new one is still in the box though. I have been watching movies on my laptop instead. When I get resituated, I will definitely consider one of these.

I love the frame tvs! Unfortunately I have zero wall space in my living room so I will always have to have a tv on a stand. If I were still in my old house I would jump on a frame tv. Enjoy it!

Yea, you can and make collages of multiple (up to three) You need to download the SmartThings app. I found it very easy, but my 75 year old mom would struggle.

Good to know it's possible - she'll be excited.
