Welcome peas, to the weekly spotlight on a Pea project! The intent is to highlight all the talent and variety of styles and projects on the board, recognize a deserving pea, and inspire our own creativity with challenges based on the project. I really hope Peas will SHARE their creations with us - I will head to the Flickr gallery every week to choose a project, but will also keep my eye on the boards if Peas share their projects in other ways. I'd like to stay "recent" in these projects, but make no guarantees that I won't dive deeper into our past. Please help me: if a Pea project catches YOUR eye and you think it deserves recognition, PM me and point me towards it! This layout is from Linda **LINDAS** layout cute and crafty by kirstendrew, on Flickr and features: Wonderful colour - green to bring out the photo, with contrasting blue and then POPS of pp for the fishtail banners FUN fishtail banners as a border An ADORABLE splash of colours in an easel A title housed in a 3x4 rectangle - a home of it's own with fun splashes of paint A typical Linda grid of elements on a contrasting photo mat So I challenge you! 1. use fishtail BANNER pieces across an edge of your project, or along an edge within your project 2. use GREEN as a background or predominantly on your layout 3. place your title in a square or rectangular box on your page 4. create a "block" of at least 4 elements matted together: this must include 2 or more photos! 5. use a grouping of at least 4 colours somewhere on your page - controlled, like Linda 's easel (a rainbow would be an easy solution!), or more freeform like splatter *if you are on the challenge teams, completing any TWO of those challenges will fulfil this week's POTW challenge for 10 points!

Congratulations, Linda, for having your page chosen. And what a page! I love all the points about it that kitbop highlights. So many interesting elements on this page, and yet they are all cohesive as well as colourful and fun.

Congratulations, Linda I feel like this is a go-to sketch for you and it's SUCH a great one! I love a good grid and the banners along the edge just makes the whole page feel playful - a perfect pairing for the subject of your layout!

This is one of my favorites of @homeschool's pages. I immediately sketched it to scraplift. Congrats, Linda.

Thanks, kitbop for doing this each week. This is my rendition of POTW #6. It's mostly journaling, but I wanted to tell the story of these two. Elf Squad

Awesome journalling nylene and I love how you did the title and tucked the banner pieces under the main photo!

This meets a couple of challenge aspects. I have an 8.5x11 page with a 4 grid and a rectangular title block. I have some enamel dots in the lower right corner. I have a strip on the left though not flags. I have flowers instead of an artist palette. linda and I scrapbook alike I think!

myboysnme, your page is so pretty. I love the patterns you have put together. The use of the printed vellum is a beautiful touch as is the gold mats. Beautiful photos and I love the flower and dots in the corners. Such a sweet and lovely page.
