Hi crafty friends!
I recently got a Doodlebug Design Storybook Album, and am using a few different brands of page protectors. However, even after I've put them into the album and closed the rings, I've noticed that the page protectors are coming out of the rings (but only the top ring).
Should I use their page protectors, or am I just having bad luck with the ones I'm using? I really like the album because it can hold so many pages.
Thanks!

I have been using these albums for years now - they are my favourite as well! As far as your question, the only time that I find my page protectors come off the top ring is if the page is very heavy (does not happen very often as I don't do many layers/use heavy embellishments etc) or the album is/has been overloaded with too many layouts. I have had a couple that are very full where the ring needs to be gently reminded how to close correctly so that it aligns properly for when I am flipping through layouts.... again this is as a result of me overloading the album in the first place as I have other albums from the same brand that I have not overloaded that have worked fine and not had this problem for years. As an aside, I know that there are "spinder sleeves" sold by Totally Tiffany that you put onto the binder rings to keep them together... maybe try these if you are still having issues? There are a few Youtube videos of how these work online :0) Or, from what I can see, you could substitute these on the cheap with some skinny plastic tubing if you had any on hand... Hope some of this is slightly useful

lg - thanks! I do have a number of layouts in there, and some do have programs from hockey games. However, I'm also using it as "storage" for all of those items while I work on the layouts. Maybe as more things are actually on pages instead of just in the protectors, it'll work out. And it was very helpful, thanks!

I thought I read the Doodlebug brand page protectors are side loading? I have only used the WRMK or Scrapbook.com page protectors so I don't know. I have the Bubblegum Storybook album on my shelf but haven't used it yet (it's so pretty to look at though, I love that color).

I was just too lazy to buy their sheet protectors when I bought the album itself, and the protectors that did come with it weren't in the best of shape. Maybe I'll try some of theirs and try to make less bulky pages. Haha. Most of them are just photos and ticket stubs, but some do have programs from the games in them.
