We thought kitten fostering was done until spring but we got a call to take a young pregnant cat last week. She had been rescued from a house with 28 other cats and is probably less than a year old. On Tuesday Emmy made me a foster grandmother with 3 little bundles of fur, 2 gingers and 1 black, and she has taken to mothering quite well. Both DD22 and I got to be here for the birthing process. I know it’s just part of life but to actually witness it was quite amazing. Here they are just after birth.  |

Awww, you lucky thing! And to have mama with them too, everyone is lucky 🙂
If I didn’t think that my 2 cats would go absolutely berserk if I fostered, I’d absolutely love to do so. I hope you’ll share photos daily often!

What a beautiful mama cat! I love her face.
We fostered a pregnant cat a few years ago and I worked part time. I left the house and a pregnant cat at 8:00 and came back at noon to four babies already born. I was bummed she didn’t wait for me, but she was all, “I got this!”

Omg!!! Mama is so pretty and her kitties are adorable.
My husband and I have a calico, and 97% of why we chose her was her pretty face. The other 3% was because we did indeed want a cat, and nobody wanted an "older" cat. She was 2 1/2 when we got her, already had her kittens. That was going on 7 years ago, and she still acts like a crazy little kitten sometimes. (As I type this, though, she is sleeping on "her" chair.)
