All of your answers has made me smile!
I love my neighborhood, we walk every day and some days we don't see anyone but days like today are what I love. It took me an hour to go 1 block because we stopped to chat with so many of our neighbors.
I love my dog!

We are getting an adult sized stroller/wheelchair (I'm still not clear on the correct term) through Shriners for my son. I'm very grateful, but still feel bad they are doing it for free. There's been so many many many issues since October with him and lots of doctor's appointments, I decided I should accept it because you never know. Shriners is the one charity I will pull out my wallet as soon as I see them. I love the way they run their organization. when I was a kid, a very young mom left her child in the sink while she grabbed the phone across the room. The water was running and the baby turned the cold off. The burns were awful and the child lost her legs. Shriners flew them to Texas to the burn center and covered everything until the child turned 18. Once she turned 18, the local Shriners took her as their person. Every time I see her she remarks on how blessed she is to have their support. Every time I see the Shriners I know, they say how blessed they are to know her. Please let them help you in any way they can. They are very happy to help. Marcy

The grandkids are here for the 4 days weekend from school! We have an appointment for our taxes tomorrow and have high faith for a great return.
Hubby has been suffering from oppcipital nerve pain in the form of horrific migraines. He gets his nerve block on Tuesday and we hope it helps to let us know we are doing on the right track and what will we do looking forward.

DH and DS have been away snowboarding for the past 5 days. I have walked the dogs, eaten out, watched tv, shopped, etc. and I haven’t done any laundry, grocery runs, cleaning, or run the dish washer at all! Bliss:)

I’m dog sitting for my DS and his GF. Jack, the dog, is a rescue. He’s a black mutt who’s parts pit, bulldog, and chow. He was not a good dog to have around. He would lunge at people, bark all the time even at people just walking down the street. They’ve been taking him to a trainer for over reactive dogs and taking him a couple of times a week to doggy day care. OMG he is a different dog. I was able to walk him yesterday. A guy I used to work with lives down the street from me, he came out to tell me another coworker had passed. Meanwhile the guy across the street from him came out to shovel his drive. Previously Jack would have gone crazy trying to get to them. He had no reaction to speak of. No barking, no pulling on the leash. He stood or sat next to me the entire time. It was amazing. The guy commented on how well behaved he was and couldn’t believe he had ever had aggression issues. It was amazing. I’m so proud of the three of them for the work they’ve put in.

My son is fully weaned and I never have to nurse him or pump ever again!!! And his dad can handle feeding him table food! I’m FREEEEEEEEEE! That was SUCH a freeing moment in my life! I was a tad bit sad but OMG! The freedom and not having to take the damn pump with me. ENJOY!

A good thing... My DD (10) got called in to "fluff the pit" at the gym she goes to. Someone thought they lost their wallet in "the pit" which is 12' square and 6' deep full of 10" foam blocks. SOS went out last night for help to get the pit emptied and find the wallet and she jumped at it. Turns out the guy had his wallet in his car but the gym owner (LOVE THEM SO VERY MUCH!) still had the crew go in and fluff it and paid them. While DD was working, DS (5) and I went to Panera and Jamba Juice then came back and chilled at the gym. I'm so very thankful that we have this place in our lives. It feels like home to us. The owners are amazing, the parents and girls who go there are so nice. AND it's a FOUR DAY WEEKEND for us. No school for anyone in this house until TWO'S DAY. After this weekend, we have eight long weeks until spring break (but that's a drag so we won't discuss that!). I've been able to craft and sandblast and have a nice weekend while also getting school grading done.

My 24yd Ds just rented a place with my 22yo Dd and we got them mostly moved in yesterday. Dd has been on her own for a few years, but Ds was hesitant to launch. He finally got tired of watching little sister go through the roommate wringer and reached out to her. I’m excited for them….they’ll have a good time, I think. :-) My son bought a house and his little brother went with him for his last year of college. It was weird having them both move the same day, but they enjoyed living together.

Today as I was driving home, a "herd" of turkeys decided to cross the road. I waited. They are the funniest creatures. Then a few more houses later, several deer were standing in the road. I had my window down since it was 60 degrees out and we were coming home from the dog park. I talked to deer and there is truly a reason people say deer in headlights. They just stand in the road and look at you. One of them eventually decides to move along and the rest will follow. They aren't tame, but they sure don't mind hanging out with humans now and then.

There's been so many many many issues since October with him and lots of doctor's appointments, I decided I should accept it because you never know. Shriner's is a wonderful organization. Many of the things needed my my Spina Bifida nephew were provided by Shriner's. They even taught him how to walk with reciprocating braces. Sometimes he walks, sometimes he is in his wheel chair. I believe they and other organizations have provided basketball, tennis, and track racing wheelchairs. He's also done a number of sessions in a sit ski (down hill skiing).
Use what tools and technology are offered and prayers for your family!
