Trying to not focus on my very painful tailbone that is acting up again. I guess everything else is pretty good.
I really love being able to work from home a few days a week the last several years (even before pandemic). It has seriously improved the quality of my life.

That's a plus!
The days are getting longer and I am no longer someone who leaves for work in the dark and comes home in the dark. Those days are hard and I'm glad to see that season ending.

I agree with the days getting longer. And even though we need rain - I’m loving our beautiful spring weather. Fruit trees are blooming, spring bulbs are blooming and everything is green.
I’m also super happy that my college junior just got an offer for a finance internship this summer - what a relief lol.

Something good..... I used a for Christmas >> Kohls gift card to get a heavier weighted blanket. I have a 12lb and now I also have a 20lb. I've been wanting to go heavier for awhile now, just didn't want to spend the funds. Then I received the gift card. I patiently waited for it to go on sale, plus have a percent off coupon. I love the 20lb! I also earned myself some Kohl Cash($10), so I can get a little something else. I love buying something I want, and someone else (gift card) pays for it.

This is the first weekend since before Christmas that we don't have company or have plans that prevent me from being home. So today I am at home cleaning and just puttering around. And I absolutely love it.

I have a bathroom one too! Due to covid, kids (adult) all started using the same bathroom. I banned any from returning to the one I generally use, so I now have my own bathroom. Loving it!
I am also loving the days being longer too. There is nothing better in winter than seeing noticing it's light a bit longer.

Being able to drive myself places again is the best thing ever.
Because of an eye issue that culminated with surgery at the beginning of the year, I have had to rely on my team of chauffeurs to go anywhere until last week.
This episode also reinforced retirement plans to live in a more urban neighborhood with everything within walking distance.

I'm getting closer to the end of a storm and will be able to plan a very healing trip to my favorite doc.

And I absolutely love it. Same here. I’m currently sitting on the floor of our walk in closet cleaning out and folding/hanging clothes!!!! We do have a dinner party to go to this evening so we are just hanging out at home before we go.

I finally got outside and went for a walk yesterday. More snow for today, but there's a 50 degree day forecasted for this coming Thursday. I'm looking forward to it

My 24yd Ds just rented a place with my 22yo Dd and we got them mostly moved in yesterday.
Dd has been on her own for a few years, but Ds was hesitant to launch. He finally got tired of watching little sister go through the roommate wringer and reached out to her.
I’m excited for them….they’ll have a good time, I think. :-)

I have to get two MRI’s on the 28th. I THINK I will have the small tub…crossing fingers. I do not want the full body tube!
Another “bright side”…my issues could be neck related, NOT brain related…more fingers crossed.

Trying to not focus on my very painful tailbone that is acting up again. I guess everything else is pretty good. I just wanted to mention this in case you weren’t sure where your pain originated; I have SI joint pain that I thought for years was my tailbone. At the time it was so bad even short road trips made it feel like fire and I was crying by the time I got home. Hope you feel better soon!

The last two times it has snowed (like last night), it has been only a thin layer - and the sun has melted it all off even though the temp is below freezing. I like snow I don’t have to shovel.

After fifteen months of remodeling all the bathrooms, there are no more toilets, bathtubs, vanities, mirrors, light fixtures or any other building supplies in my living room! We are pretty much done.

We are getting an adult sized stroller/wheelchair (I'm still not clear on the correct term) through Shriners for my son. I'm very grateful, but still feel bad they are doing it for free. There's been so many many many issues since October with him and lots of doctor's appointments, I decided I should accept it because you never know.

Found a new doctor that is going to be a huge blessing, I believe. He's in North Orlando, I'm outside of Tampa, but we overnight it and it's not too bad (I have other doctors there too).
Got a new diagnosis (not good, but hopefully will lead to better treatment).
Had freaking AMAZING Indian food in Orlando. Man. I could eat there a lot.
Forgot to add: it's February and it's WARM. I absolutely love it!

I’m on vacation until March 3rd! I need it so bad! I think all the teachers and students need it! It’s been a long year! I’m out for the year on May 20th for a knee replacement. It’ll be better than going to the last 3 weeks of school, that’s how bad this year has been!

What an awesome way to look at things, freecharlie. What is getting me through right now is imagining my life when I am on my own...having my own house, no one to clean up after, no one using the bathroom and kitchen but me. This may sound silly, but I am looking forward to having a linen closet full of white towels. LOL I have always wanted fluffy white towels, but no one in this house gives a shit about separating laundry so if I had them, they would be gray and dingy and gross. I am glad you are finding things to look on the bright side about.

I'm glad that it's ice fishing season and my DH and DS get out of the house for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday, leaving me alone with the kitties. It's amazing how much I can get done!

Girl, you deserve every single last bit of generosity that comes your way from any direction! That's what the Shriners organization is here for. Enjoy that stroller/wheelchair. I hope if makes some of your trips easier.
