I'm one of the crazies waiting for 6pm to roll around at Walmart. There's a Brother LS2400 sewing machine specially priced at $50. Finally wanting to jump on the sewing on paper bandwagon.

I do...I have this one Brother Sewing MachineI like it quite a lot for what I use it for, mending, hemming, and scrapbooking. I do not sew clothes from patterns or quilt, but I am sure I could with this machine if I chose to. If I was a serious sewer I would probably get something studier, but honestly this one is fine. It never gives me trouble. If you don't sew though, I suggest you practice a bit on some cardstock to get the settings right. Enjoy.

But that's good advice about trying out different settings on scrap cardstock.

I have the Brother sewing machine from Costco. It's what I use to sew on paper, cardstock, and fabric. I love brother sewing machines! This is my 3rd one.

I have one and love it - I've used to make a quilt, do some mending and of course sew on scrapbook pages. My only advice - keep two different sets of needles, one marked PAPER clearly, because you sure can shred fabric with a blunt needle you've used on a layout...

I did buy a package of needles specifically for this reason. My mom said the same thing.

Thought I'd give an update in case anyone cared...it works great! I did change out the needle with the extra needles I bought and it sews through the plastic and cardstock much better. So excited to now be able to add texture to my projects.

Yup, I got my Brother at Walmart years and years (like 8) ago. It has worked fine for what I need (a little scrapbooking, and a little clothing!) I'm happy with the quality/price ratio

I have one and like it as well- easy for me who had little experience with sewing.
