Second time using D ring albums (9x12 this time) and unlike my December Daily albumb, the two I got from SB . com have a black hard plastic piece. Does that go in the front or back? I have no idea so asking the peas

It goes in the front and is suppose to help the pages stand upright.

Although I’ve not purchased albums from SB.com, it appears you’re referring to a page/sheet lifter that is placed in the front of a D-ring binder to protect lead pages from excessive wear, such as ripped holes. HTH
