US tour was announced a couple of days ago and tix went on sale at 10 am today. I tried for a city a few hours away, venue is only about 7000 seats but the cheapest seats available were $2000++. So got them in my city for a lot less (holds about 60,000 people) but still the most expensive concert tickets I ever bought. Lots of hoops to jump through with Ticketmaster, different passcodes, etc. I kept a lot of my old concert ticket stubs and found one from his Wings over America tour 1976. Cost $8.50 back then.
Can't wait! I've seen him about 6-7 times. Hope it doesn't rain...

DH was thinking about it but crap seats were about $250, which just seems insane, although we’d do it if we had never seen him.
I got last-minute nosebleeds to see him maybe 3 years ago for $35. We also saw him once before that and had good seats for a lot less.
Enjoy your show!

I know it was only about $25 per ticket.

Our cheapest were $300 per ticket, so we passed. We like his music and it would be cool to see him. But, we aren’t in the OMG-must-see-him camp.

I'd love to go see him, but I can only imagine how pricy tickets will be.

I've seen him twice, so with the prices I passed.
The last time I saw him, however, was really luck. I'd read somewhere that on the day of the show after they've set up the sound, they always have some extra seats that they had put aside because of the sound equipment (or something like that). We didn't have tickets, the show was sold out, so I decided to give that a try. We went to Boston, went into the ticket booth at the stadium and did indeed score two tickets--really good seats, to boot. Coming out and feeling super victorious, we were readying to walk across the street for dinner, and I heard a security guard at the side say, "Why is he coming THIS way?" and there was Paul's limo coming down the street and he was leaning out the window. A guy by me reached out and grabbed his hand for a quick shake and I tried to do the same, but there was a cement barricade and I couldn't get there. Paul saw this, leaned out a bit farther, gave me his patented thumb's up, looked me in the eye and said, "How ya' doin'?"
So I got to go to the show AND Paul McCartney acknowledged my place in the universe. Don't think I'd ever top that.
