Happy Wednesday! Here's my final stash busting challenge: use the at least 3 different washi tapes on your layout. You can use just a little as accents, or use a lot (like I did). The twist: Try not to swear when using all the washi (just kidding, I did swear a lot trying to get the washi to release from itself ) The REAL twist: Use multiple rolls of washi tape to make the background of your layout or card or whatever you choose to make. I used 5 different designs of washi tape to make the background of my layout. I also added some sequins and alpha chipboard stickers for the title.
grammadee has included an incentive for all Quarter ONE team players: If you are on a team, you can earn FIVE points for meeting this challenge, with a TWO POINT BONUS for also meeting the twist on this same project. It was not previously stated in the Quarter One challenges list, or in gramma's spreadsheet, but if you can complete ALL of the 28-4-28 challenges by the end of this quarter, you can earn a BONUS of 280 points!

Hahahaha I love your first twist!! I have tons of washi tape in my digital collection, so I can definitely play along with this one. I love your layout, the colour combination is wonderful, and the background using all the different washi is great!

No washi with me, and still frozen so can’t buy any. (Prob a good thing, considering how many of those pesky little rolls I have at home). So this will have to wait a week or two. Thanks, jediannie for all the fun challenges this month to use up our supplies. You would think by now—frozen since Jan 4th and all those pages completed this year— I would be able to see some holes in my stash. But not really. Except for cs colours I WANT to use. Couldn’t even see a hole after packing up a big rally tote to bring with me to my ds’s for two weeks.

You would think by now—frozen since Jan 4th and all those pages completed this year— I would be able to see some holes in my stash. I'm having the same realization! Even after all the major purging and staying "chilly" I have so much stuff I don't think I'll ever run out!

I used washi strips in lieu of washi rolls. I was able to get 7 different patterns used!

Thank you for the washi challenge, jediannie . I had fun getting out the washi! Your page is extra bold and fun. I LOVE the map washi tape. justjac your comic IS amusing. And your background amazing. I thought the butterflies were printed on it until I saw them overlapping the commic. So I kept putting off this challenge - so open ended, I had indecision. Then I remembered most of my washi was metallic or Christmas, so I went with one of my few unscrapped Christmas photos.

I initially made a background using the washi, but then couldn't get my design to work, so I cut it into banner shapes! So cute, and reminded me how versatile washi is (the little strip across the top banners was so easy, and adds so much imo!) layout drama dog elite by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Ryann, I love love LOVE your page! So cool with the layering, the torn edge, the words cascading down the page. jjpeapea, your washi matting is a wonderful festive backdrop for that elf story. kitbop, your washi banners are genius. I might be tempted to try that idea. Now that I am home again I should be able to dig into my washi bin and give this challenge a go.

justjac - This is great! Love how the washi fits really well with the page. Ryann - washi strips are washi, love how this turned out! jjpeapea - You would think the washi would make the page look busier but it makes your photo and journaling pop off the page. kitbop - super clever way to use the washi! I will be making banners now too! destined2bmom - the way you placed the washi really makes your eye flow across the page. Great job! grammadee - I'm glad I didn't corrupt you too much with this potential swear inducing challenge. I really like how the photos are not all straight, I struggle with how to do this and this looks awesome.

jediannie , your page is so beautiful. I love the bright colors that match parade colors. Your photos are incredible. It looks like such a special parade after dark. Thank you for this challenge and for all the challenges you have given us in Feb. I seldom use washi tape, so this was a good challenge to get me using, not just storing it. justjac , kitbop , Ryann , and grammadee , you have love in the gallery. jjpeapea , I love the background you have created for your Christmas photo. I love the white space around the photo. Great journaling. destined2bmom , it's fun to see you posting. I love those gorgeous aquarium photos. I love the pop of color in the washi tape around the photos. Beautiful layout. This is actually the first layout I have ever done with more than a little strip of washi. It got a little wild, but it was fun to do. Christmas Jammies

nylene perfect for a washi challenge. Your background is a great use of washi but the trees with washi strips are genius. Love your title and how it picks up on the colors and theme of the photo.
