I love the thread about things we wish manufacturers would make. What have they been getting right?
For me:
The newer teen lines have used ear pods and Van's checked shoes. Those are definitely relevant for my boys. I thought Bro & Co. (was that last year or the year before?) did a great job with their images. I was not thrilled about the words, however. "Rad" has not been used in forever. It looks really dated, and not in a retro way.
I love that there have been several lines in the past couple years about board games, put-put, bowling, and other family activities. I've been able to use them a lot.
Authentique had a line that featured these sports: track & field, wrestling, swimming, and lacrosse. Scrapbook Customs also makes lines with lacrosse, and other sports that aren't "the big 3".
Zoo papers have definitely been getting away from cage images and reflecting what modern zoos look like. I'm seeing a lot broader range of animals, too.
Photoplay has been producing sports lines that have both female and male images.
I'm seeing a lot more images of people of color.
What other things are scrapbook companies starting to get better at?

I really like SS Boho Baby collection. It’s nice to have a collection that’s not all pink or all blue. I also like that they have less cut aparts in their collections. They used to have cut aparts on the A and B sides of their paper. I noticed that the Hearth & Home collection has a full pattern on one side and cut aparts on the other side. I don’t use cut aparts very often so it’s a huge improvement for me. This change could have started before Hearth & Home. I’m not sure.

On the theme of updated imagery, Photoplay's recent reading collection (Notting Hill?) has a couple of pieces with an e-reader which I love.
And I really love the die cut packs that are florals only, especially when they include pre-made floral clusters in them.

Lots of current and very relevant teen icons there. I wish I’d gotten more of it.

I think that I am less theme-y with my pages than others, based on replies here and in my other thread. I have gotten a ton of thickers in the last year or so because I like the different words that they have. I don’t use many of the picture stickers that come with kits but do use word stickers for titles or smaller ones to draw attention to the photo.
Looking at my older supplies, I used to do a lot more putzy things like painting chipboard, covering it with paper, etc. I appreciate that now I can buy coordinating products and not have to do those things. I’m much more lazy/simple with pages than I used to be.
