My niece gave birth to my great nephew on Friday night. He is now quite poorly and being tested for Meningitis. Because of Covid restriction, no one can visit except for her husband. It’s a very difficult time for everyone. I’m asking for the power of the peas. I can’t really talk to my sister as she is looking after my niece’s other 2 children.
Update - After 12 nights in hospital my strong, brave little baby grand nephew has arrived home healthy and well. Thank you so much for everyone’s prayers and well wishes. I have passed them on to my niece, who is also doing well, although very, very exhausted and hungry.

Prayers said. I hope the little one responds to antibiotics quickly. How in the world would a baby just born on Friday contract meningitis? Surely the area for newborn babies would be one of the biggest priorities for keeping sterile all the time, but especially during a pandemic, wouldn't it? I know that meningitis can be a viral infection but can also be bacterial or fungal. And I would have thought that whatever they are using in that hospital to combat and sterilize against Covid 19 would kill the germs that cause meningitis. Please keep us updated when you can and let your niece know she has the peas pulling for her.

This is any parent's worst nightmare. Not religious, but I'll be thinking of them, pulling for them. Lordy, I do hope that baby gets better.
