Happy March!
My random scrap news is I am donating my dining room table ahead of my move. I plan to move all my scrapbook stuff up from the basement into the DR. I want to organize it better before that move.

We have a multi-level house and had planned to move to a one-level townhouse. I am still planning to do that. Hopefully the construction will be complete by mid-May. I will have a dedicated craft space for the first time!

I will have a dedicated craft space for the first time! OK. I had remembered you saying that, but I had thought you had already moved to the townhouse. I was thinking you'd be moving yet again and that seemed odd to me. Now it all makes sense. And yay on the dedicated craft space. I love that you are finally getting your own fun place to scrap. My younger DD is moving out and my older one has already moved, so when younger DD moves out, I'm moving into her room as my office/craft space. I'm so excited about it because I will have both a work desk and a craft desk. And windows! My little office/craft space has no windows. I will move her bed into the smaller room in case she comes home to visit so I have a place for a guest to sleep. But the guest can have the small room with no windows! I'm trying to decide right now what color I'd like to paint the new room. It's gray right now and gray doesn't work for me.

Our original move date was the end of February. Material delays have affected the construction schedule. Thank goodness, because with my DH being in the hospital for almost 3 weeks, his passing, and services, there is NO way I could have moved. My walls are light gray, but there is a patio door and big window, so I am good with it. I'll definitely be adding pops of color.

It would have been too tough to manage a move and your DH's illness at the same time. Are you still OK with moving though? I know sometimes people are sentimental about their homes especially after a loved one passes. <3

Dedicated space will be great for you. As your packing I would suggest you think very hard about what your packing. Great time to purge if you have the time.
I am going to my friend's next weekend to craft. There will be 5 of us.
I don't have a lot on the go. No real projects. I have recently just been stamping off images for colouring. My plan is to just take my markers and stamped images to colour.
I'm going to my lss this weekend. I haven't shopped in over a month. Almost 2. So I'm looking forward to shopping.

It makes it so easy. We have lived in our current home for 35 years, so I am sure I would be paralyzed with indecision if we hadn't already made all the plans. I will say our DD is struggling with it. She completely understands, but is sad about losing her dad and her family home.

For the last seven years, I have viewed March as a month to dread due to family member death and injuries that seem to all occur in March. Yesterday, I decided I needed to reframe March, and "march on" from all this negativity.
I also had the old AE Kit "Move" untouched. I decided to March On and Move On would be great for March. In the Krystal Idunate spirit, I spread out the Move Kit contents and ideas started whirling!!
I'm doing a 6x8 album of March. I will make a Table of Contents. So far I have layout ideas of:
Write a goodbye letter to running. It's me, not you, running. Time to move on. (Already wrote the letter. Need to document & celebrate my running career, and move on from that.) Daily movement-document daily movement and give myself grace when circumstances don't allow it. Moving on-reframing March. Celebrate my sister's life, not her death that occurred this month. Biking Goals-document & plan what bike rides I will accomplish this year. Daily Groove-what makes me happy daily (maybe put in OLW) Setting myself up for success
I've already stuck cards and some embellishments that I pulled quickly into 5 little mini kits. Whee! I think this will be fun, especially having little kits to jump start from.

When my parents divorced, I was sick inside that my dad was going to sell our family home. So much so, that I bought it. I lived there for 9 years and we lost it in the recession. It still bothers me to this day. Hopefully, you can make some new memories with her at your new home. I'm sending you and her some hugs. I can imagine this isn't easy for either of you.

It's already March! Wow! I have only 2 Sat crops this month and a possible Friday afternoon. I love working on the photos of my Dgd1 iceskating with me. Those are so fun. We are beginners so the photos make us look pretty good, haha.
I had mentioned on last month's thread I had won a layout contest with her first time on the ice photos. I think you could tell I put my heart into that one.
New dgd2 is already 7 weeks old so I have been watching both girls quite a bit. It is exhausting! But these memories are so fleeting I have to take advantage of it. I think back to myself and my own mom. Both my grandmas and my kids' grandmas lived in other states. We missed so much together.
And I have to make time for taxes. We always owe a whole lot so I put it off compared to when I got hefty refunds!

i'm hoping to do more destashing in march. i did an impromptu on last sunday and gave a neighbor dozens of 3-d alphabets and SB paper. man that felt good. i just have to figure out what i need to focus on next.
as far as craft projects, i'm stumped for what to work on next. i have a few dies coming in the mail and hopefully they will serve as inspiration.

i have a few dies coming in the mail and hopefully they will serve as inspiration. Happens for me like that every time I get something new. I just received a new distress spray yesterday and I keep walking past it just thinking I ought to pull out some paper and just play with it.

kimba I love your album idea! It's great that you are both saying goodbye to things that don't serve you any longer and setting goals for new things.

Yikes! I have a move date scheduled in mid-May. I am trying to decide if I should just start packing my scrapbook stuff now. I am thinking maybe I'll wait until April. I am afraid my mojo will return as soon as I pack up.

This weekend my project is to bring all my scrapping stuff up from the basement to the DR. I want to reorganize all the Iris cases in alphabetical order so I can find things more quickly. I have several sets of the "drawer" style and they are a hot mess.
I will have space to keep everything together in the new place when I move. That will be so amazing. It kills my mojo to have to run downstairs for something in the middle of a layout.

Today I popped into a thrift shop on my way home, and found three Project Life Design C 10 page protectors packs in 12x12 size, brand new.
$2/each!😁
I saw packs of eyelets for $1/pk, but resisted, because, you know, I don't actually use them. Still I looked at them quite thoroughly, just in case.
There were several packs of thin black 12x12 cardstock, like an off brand or something. Ten sheets in each pack. Marked $6 a pack. Easy pass.
No other scrapbook stash there (I sure did look, tho!)

Nice score, LavenderLayoutLady. I hauled all my Iris case drawers up from the lower level. I rearranged them all in alphabetical order, because I am OCD like that, plus I can find what I want quickly. I am also starting to pack up some of my scrapbooking stuff.

Last night I went to a visitation for a friend who passed away. He had no family there and few people. The first person who got up to speak about him was carrying a scrapbook.
I recognized right away I had made that scrapbook for him when he retired maybe 10 years ago. That scrapbook got passed all around and people were taking photos of the pages.
The woman who brought it found it on his bookshelf and she planned to send it to his next of kin. Several people at the viewing wanted to keep it because there were many shared memories in that book.
I just wanted to share that because I wondered what happened to it and was thrilled to see it appear at his service.

Your generosity and creativity touched his life, and those who loved him and came to mourn him.

Awesome job putting them in order! It's funny, but your post made me realize that i sort my (gallon sized, stand up in a Kallax-cube sized box) bags of embellishments in chronological order of holiday (for the front half), then the second half is generic events (birthday) or generic words/images that happen year round (sport, zoo, etc) So the front half looks something like: New Year's Valentine's Day St. Patrick's Day Easter Fourth of July Halloween Thanksgiving Christmas

I love how all our minds think about the creative process differently.

It's towards the end of the month, and I'm actually looking forward to having my pics printed this month. Lots of nice shots.
Also, I received a huge (to me) gift card recently, and I'm so looking forward to a day off to peruse a craft store IN PERSON to pick out some new stuff, and hopefully jump start my mojo and creativity.

March is almost done and I've not scrapbooked since February. Still have a layout on my desktop finish 🙄 I have however 2 orders of scrappy goodness sitting right next to it! This March has been crazy with a promotion, switching around 2 rooms in my house (moving my ds to a new bedroom and creating a new office space for me) and I've had zero energy after all of that. We have one more move (adult dd is moving to a new apartment) this coming weekend then we should be done for a while. I'm wiped and have zero creative energy lately ☹
