If you were only to have ONE border punch - which one? What is the most versatile or most loved in your collection?

i have nearly 2 dozen MS around-the-page or regular border punches so clearly i am no good at settling for just one style.
however, my new favorite border is the deckle edge. i do a lot of distress look stuff so the deckle edge is my favorite at this time. i either use the deckle scissors or the paper trimmer. i don't think i've ever seen it in a punch.
for general purposes, i think scallop or pinking borders are very versatile.

I love the look of the notebook one, need to put that on my birthday list!
My most used one is the "holes" one, I think it is called Swiss Cheese, but it's the bigger one.

I use my scallop one the most too...I covet a notebook punch and I think I would use that a lot too, so it is on my wishlist.

Thanks! There seems to be 2 different kinds, the one with the square holes and another one with round holes. I was just wondering which was the "fave", appreciate it!

Thanks everyone...looks like I need to keep my eye out for either a notebook or a scallop border punch to add to my desk

950nancy - I think you have more options than many scrapbook stores I think I would be overwhelmed with so many choices but I know more the merrier works for lots of people and your room always looks beautiful when you post photos - so organised

EK Success Binding & Round Binding are my most used border punches (for over a decade!), although Fiskars Upper Crest may be my favorite.

Ok. Well if you are taking a poll for favorites. I kind of like the rectangle shaped one or the square one better. I just pulled a sheet of paper from a little notebook (round holes) , and it is not my first choice.

LOL. i don't use mine as often anymore but i don't have the heart to get rid of them. they really are well made punches.

I love choices. I am a very left-brained, organized person in a right brained craft- for sure! We were actually tested at work for right/left brained tendencies and I came out a 1.2 (leaned slightly to the left - It was a 0-2 scale). Now if I scrapped as much as I organized (especially lately), I'd have hundreds of albums!

Another vote for a scallop border punch. The one I use the most is by EK and it's a small scallop. I have other ones that are bigger but I like the smaller scallop for adding a little something to a layout. You can see it here but it's not available at this time.

I wish I had brought more border punches back in the day….do you know how hard they are to find?

I have the AC Knockouts punch set with scallops and the round notebook punch. I don’t use it nearly enough. I also have the fiskars threading water that was all the rage at one time.

I only have half a dozen border punches, all of which I use pretty frequently, but I find the Fiskars Upper Crest to be perfect for so many different types of pages.
