My local scrapbook store had a garage sale today and this cutting machine was $5 brand new. I bought it and tried it out tonight, worked well and it’ll be nice to have for my small dies. But I don’t think the included cutting mats will last long so trying to figure substitutes. I’m also trying to find instructions as my machine had a few different cutting mats and I’m not sure what they all do. Can’t find much info on the web. Was hoping someone here had/has one of these and can help me out!

What are the dimensions of the plates/cutting mats? Maybe you can find something equivalent? I have never seen this machine before so I had to google what it was.

I had it once upon a time, years ago. I hated it and probably gave it away before I moved. I don’t remember the various mats, but the thickest one is probably the base plate that you place your paper or card stock on, then a thin die with cutting edge down on the paper, then the cutting mat. Then you wedge it into the opening and push down and forward to get it to go through (if I remember right). The thinner dies like Spellbinders might use a slightly thicker mat, and the thinnest mat would probably be for the Sizzlit dies, which were a bit thicker than the Spellbinder and other thin dies. It only did thin dies, if I remember right, but there used to be two different types of thin dies.

For $5, I am sure it will be a good buy. You can cut apart cutting mats and use them in some die machines, so maybe this will work.

I don't know anything about the machine itself, but I recently watched a video that talked about "the die cutting tip manufacturers don't want you to know." It's a bit clickbaity and in the end, I'm not convinced that this hack (basically using a strong clear vinyl to sandwich the die/plates) is much different than buying new plates, but I thought I'd link it, because she has several recommendations about how to build a sandwich that's the right thickness, using different materials and measuring them with calipers. It might be helpful in your quest to figure out this machine.
