They released the EasyPress 3, Cricut Hat Press and an Cricut Autopress (basically a traditional clamshell-type heat press). I've never been much into Cricut because I have a Silhouette and I dislike their business practices, but I get their emails because I ordered some vinyl from them in a specific color that my sister-in-law wanted for her wedding. Anyway, I'm always interested in new craft releases even if I'm not planning on buying, so I read about the new presses and this line really made me laugh: You know Cricut for sleek, home-friendly, easy-to-use design. Now, we’ve merged that with commercial power for the most advanced heat press we’ve ever made — Cricut Autopress. Built with sturdy steel construction and high-quality components, Cricut Autopress delivers professional-level production. But unlike other solutions, this elegant design is something you’ll want to show off in your home, business, or craft room instead of hiding it in the back. Now, I do appreciate a piece of equipment that's attractive, but the idea of buying a heat press to show it off...idk, it just makes me giggle. I have no idea if the other features they're touting are really as revolutionary as they make it sound (I don't have a heat press, I'm just aware of their existence), but knowing Cricut, the Autopress will be $$$$$$$. Given that the 12"x10" EasyPress 2 is $200, I'm guessing it will be at least $400. (It won't be released until May, so I'm not sure of the price.) I'd be interested to hear from Peas who have a heat press whether the AutoPress really does have unique features. Here's the release info.I also did have to laugh because I know Cricut views itself as the Apple of the craft world, and Apple is having a live event tomorrow (with new product announcements expected), so it felt a little too copycat for me. Maybe it's just coincidence though!

Interesting. I have the little Cricut mini heat press, which I bought to heat press designs on canvas shoes. I think I might be able to do hats with it, too, but I’ll be curious what the cost for the Cricut hat press will be. I
I already have a Rincon heat press that I use for making t-shirts. It may not look as sleek as the new Cricut autopress, but my heat press only cost about $150 back in 2017, and I’ve made a lot of fun projects with it. It cost me less than 6 to 8 Disney shirts from the Disney store would have. I made 27 custom Disney shirts for our family trip that year. I’ve used it for additional fun things since then, so it’s definitely been worth what I paid for it. Since the Cricut Easy Press 2 costs more than my Rincon did, I’m happy with what I’ve got, even if mine doesn’t look quite as classy in my craft room.

Maybe it's just coincidence thou I think what CricutCompared to the (far cheaper!) heat presses out there, the AutoPress (to me) is much more attractive. I will give them that. However..... I saw in one of the Cricut Facebook groups that the AutoPress is going to retail at $999.99!! That is.....aggressively high, considering other heat presses - some that are even larger - can range between $300-600. I don't mind paying more for name brands of products if they are good quality or have special features. I bought the Cricut mug press which has a higher price point than others, but I liked the look, the safety features, and I could afford it. But the price difference wasn't this far off! I might consider the AutoPress if it ever comes way down in price, but right now it's a hard no for me.

I thought I was actually overshooting it with the $400 estimate. Yes, I agree with your points about price/quality. One of my main issues with Cricut is that they seem to prioritize form over function. It's not that I think it's shallow to want equipment that's attractive (I remember years ago when my dad made fun of me for wanting a point and shoot camera in a "pretty" color instead of the basic silver ), it's that I think the equipment (software included!) should work seamlessly and shouldn't cost an arm and a leg just because it's attractive.

I have the easy press 2 in my Amazon cart but I think I’ll wait to order. Now that the 3 is coming out maybe the price will drop on the 2.
