well, I have spent far too much time over the last several days cataloging & etc etc my Stickles & LP.
does anybody store these by color, together? does it work? what I mean is, storing by color, not product. so, for example, Black Diamond (S) & Onxy Pearl (LP) would be next to each other. then, if i wanted a black I would just choose the one that would work best.
similarly, all the whites, bisques, creams, crystals, etc would be together.
or do you think you look for 'finish' first?
thx, Judy

Well, I currently have all mine thrown into a gallon size zippy bag, but if/when I get them a proper storage container that I can organize them in, I will be organizing them by color, because that's how I scrap.

I saw a cool Stickles storage for sale on some scrapbook site. It stored the bottles upside down and and all the bottles were visible.

If stickles and liquid pearls were stored together, I would search by color first. Then decide what finish I wanted. But mostly I am familiar with what I have so I kind of would be looking for color and finish at the same time. I don't have that many liquid pearls.

I just keep all mine in a iris case and sort through them as I use them. Stickles are not something I use often.

I keep that sort of thing sorted first by type - eg, mists - then by colour.

Mine are stored by type and then by colors. The most important thing is that they are stored upside down. I use the PVC couplers to hold them up right and they are always ready to go. I never have the problem of air bubbles and large amount squirting out accidentally.

I have the same case as leeny, I love that thing! It's loosely sorted by color

I don't have any Stickles or Liquid Pearls but I do keep all of my wet media (gelatos, inks, mists, paint, etc) together by colour. I tend to think, "I need silver for this page" and then find the right thing that would work, rather than thinking, "I need acrylic paint on this page".

Here is how I store mine. This is an old picture. I had to make my storage much larger and I also have the liquid pearls in there too. The dividers are 1.5 x 12" pieces of cardboard (used for paper packs). I just cut notches every inch or so and put it in a larger box. It works great, travels well, and you can store about 144 in an Iris case if you have that many. www.scrapbook.com/galleries/399295/view/2417845/-1/0/0.html

I have this storage caddy filled with my stickles, stored upside down, and this Dazzle Caddy filled with Liquid Pearls. Suppose I could put my alcohol inks in the Dazzle Caddy too! But more importantly, I do think about color first, then the possible options for finish. About 2 years ago I made color charts like these. I do need to go back an fill it in with some of my embossing powders, which I have started using a little more in card making. I find that if I match to the color chart first I can get the look I want to match paper or embellishments.

Here's how I store mine. It works great for me. I don't actually keep them in the plastic container, just keep the white trays in one of my empty slots in my Recollections cube.
