So..legislation moving forward in Idaho…PREVENTS LEAVING FOR HEALTHCARE AND WILL MAKE IT A CRIME PUNISHABLE BY LIFE IN PRISON… If you are LBGTQIA transgender OR a family member OR friend OR anyone else in the state of Idaho, and want to help a LBGTQIA transgender person leave the homophobic state to get healthcare, treatments, mental healthcare you can’t and will be arrested (proposed as a crime) and it’s punishable by life in prison. So if you are LBGTQIA transgender in the state of Idaho and this legislation passed—you’re fucked. You’re literally a flake to the state government with zero rights. I fucking gate republicans more and more every day. The headline and lead of this article focus on the illegality of the travel/travel assistance.
But the next paragraph (bold mine):
1. So, the bill renders ANY treatment for transgender minors IN Idaho illegal, yes? The medical/psychiatric/therapeutic/social work staff would be arrested. And then they tacked on the bonus illegality of giving permission to and/or helping a minor seek treatment OUTSIDE Idaho?
The emphasis on the latter kind of obscures the former.
2. Why are these cretin legislatures focusing on minors? Are they prevented from banning adult trans services?
3. Is there a precedent for banning access to ANYTHING, including medical services, from a different state? Seems like that should be legally tenuous.

And have been trying to get some others of "the rest of us" to see it too. I have a dear friend of mine who lost her son due to drugs (My son knew some of his friends back then). It was tragic and she suffered greatly. A few years after her son's passing, her only remaining son announced that he was a woman his whole life and he needed for his body to show it. She moved to live with him (and his wife), and began the process and major surgeries.
She has shown grace, constant support, love and clarity. If any one of these morons who was behind these Bills had a grown child who decided to go forward with the surgeries, I wonder what they'd do. It's not a quick whim. It's a feeling you've had you're entire life. For this mother to not only support her (now) daughter but to move and be there throughout this long transition, I applaud her.
The only thing she was sad about was that she'd have "no more sons" of hers, but she quickly moved past that and loves her daughter. The surgeries went well and she's doing great. So is her mom!
These new antiquated laws are for keeping the 1950's moronic R crew alive and excited. Meanwhile 99% of them probably have sex with the LGBTQ+ community!!!

My son moved to Idaho last summer and wants me to consider moving there too instead of Oregon? I already told him no just based on the fact that Idaho is a more Republican state. I wasn't aware of this bill until your post though. I just don't understand all the hate and need to force other people to behave in a way they deem acceptable. Why can't we all just be kind and live and let live? Ugh.
