I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this here, but you can use your Big Shot plates in your standard, original Gemini. I use 3 Big Shot plates and feed them through the machine sideways (long side through). They work great, and they don't warp. Since most of the dies I use aren't so big that I have to use the big Gemini plates, this is a game changer for me!
(I don't know if this would work with the Gemini Jr.)

Thanks. I have the larger Gemini, but I have not tried the Big Shot plates in it because the regular Gemini takes up a bigger footprint, and I have only used it once. That is helpful to know, because the last time I checked, Amazon had stopped carrying the replacement plates.
I have used the Big Shot plates as part of the sandwich in my Gemini Jr. (the cutting plates are hard to tell apart from the Big Shot plates, so I had to mark them). I never thought to see if 3 plates would work instead of the normal Gemini Jr. sandwich. I will have to give it a try.

Instead of 3 plates I use 2 and a selfhealing mat with a chipboard. I have been using the same plates for about 2.5 years, there is a tiny little worping but so minimal. I used the same sandwich in the original and Jr.
