The little madam (Rio) was tearing around the house after we had gone to bed. Heard a bump but didn`t sound bad enough to check it out. Next morning there was my Orchid broken on the floor and the heavy ceramic pot wedged in the sink. Pot in one piece sink cracked right through and unusable. No photo of the damage but here is the culprit looking innocent. She has only lived here for 6 weeks. Have your pets been in any mischief lately?

What a stinker, but a cutie. I'm surprised the whole episode didn't make enough noise to cause you to fly out of bed.

Of course it was the sink and not the pot!
I used to host a huge Christmas cookie party for my kids and their friends. One mom brought her marble rolling pin. It rolled off the counter and hit my tile floor. The rolling pin stayed completely intact with not even a chip. My floor on the other hand? It cracked one big square tile all the way through.
Some version of a Murphy’s law applies to situations like this it would appear.

She's stunning. She obviously didn't do anything wrong. What kind of cat is she? Siamese?

Yes, actually. I was in my Zoom writing class a couple of weeks ago, and Vinny took issue with the fact that I was ignoring him. He starting rubbing his face on my laptop, and then bit down on the frame around the screen. Made the screen go all wonky but I thought it would be OK when I rebooted. Uh nope. Laptop cost $1600, is less than 6 months old (and still under warranty for things other than cat bites) and I'm paying $500 for a new screen.

Without video or photos of her in the act, all you have is circumstantial evidence! She's innocent! Just look at that face! So sorry about your sink though. Hopefully it can be replaced without too much trouble.

This reminds me of the time DS was cleaning his bathroom and accidentally knocked a ceramic toothbrush holder off the ledge where he set it to clean the vanity top. It landed on the top of the toilet tank. Cracked the lid right in half. The stupid toothbrush holder was unscathed. Naturally. For those interested, you can replace a toilet for about the same price as replacing a cracked lid.

You can't convince me that cats aren't the embodiment of Chaotic Evil.

You can't convince me that cats aren't the embodiment of Chaotic Evil. I agree... but we still love them, even WITH all that. darn it, anyway, lol. \ when I got my first kittens, they liked to snuggle up together and lay in the sink in the bathroom. (Old house, horribly inefficient window air conditioner... the bathroom sink was nice and cool.) My landlord wouldn't give me back my security deposit, because he had to do some water damage repair and tried to say it was from my kittens turning on the water in the sink, and having it overflow! They were TEENY TINY little guys- there's no way they could have turned that faucet on!! (but I brought home two when they said I could only get one, so I didn't argue.) phoenixcov, she looks waaay too innocent- are you sure your orchid didn't have a death wish??

What a beautiful cat. But you boy, do you have your hands full. I am glad it wasn’t the Rio who was hurt.

Uh-oh. The kitty in my avatar is very mischievous. He is always up to something. Luckily, he hasn't broken anything. My other kitty is very calm and doesn't cause any trouble.

I had these two very large glass and metal cylinder candle holders that were from the gift shop at the Awahanee Hotel in Yosemite. They were expensive! They were on my brick fireplace mantle and had been for about two years. For some reason, my adorable black kitty decided to jump up there and rub on one of them. Before I could spring up off the couch, she had pushed it right off the mantle. And of course once it hit the brick hearth it shattered into tiny shards and glass dust. It made the loudest explosion noise!
I was upset, but more worried as to whether or not she got cut when she bolted down off the mantle. I couldn't tell if she went through the glass or not. Fortunately she was okay, but I was cleaning up glass for the rest of the afternoon and finding tiny bits under the furniture or stuck on the drapes for weeks afterward. She was my little sweetheart, so I couldn't be upset at her. I still haven't been back to Yosemite to buy a replacement, that is if the still have them. They were in all the restrooms and in the public areas and I had admired them there. When we went into the gift shop and saw them for sale, I had to have a pair.

She's a cutie! Give her extra kitty treats Seriously my cat Gabe gets into trouble in my craft room, (the other night he had foam dots stuck to his face) but he's so darn cute and fluffy I can't even get mad!
