I'm not a fan for a variety of reasons. Ours are never really that busy either, but I so rarely go.
I can't stand the sales promotions, coupons etc and I refuse to get their credit card so I miss out on those.
I was going more when they were teaming with Amazon to take returns but now that Whole Foods is doing it I'd rather go there and pick up some food at the same time.
But yeah, if they close out then there aren't really anymore department stores to shop at anymore, other than Macy's and Nordstrom really. Pennys. But I hate Pennys too.

Other than Dillards, Kohls is the only store we have left. Our Macy's closed several years ago and Penneys left last year. I seldom go in Kohls. Maybe once a year if that much. When I used to have to go to the one near Austin, I loved that store. After we got ours, I didn't like it. I don't like the way it's arranged. I don't like how crowded it feels. Like the merchandise is just crammed in. I never can find anything. I miss Macy's so much.

We have Kohls and Boscov's. Very few Macy's left in CT.
I like Kohls but only shop when I have a coupon there

I have only gone to Kohls to return Amazon products. It is always empty and the stock they have is bare as well. I have never understood how to shop there, I don’t want to have to do work to stack coupons and Kohl’s cash and use their credit card. Way too much homework to be done for mid-tier products. I’d rather go to TJ Maxx or HomeGoods.

We have a Kohl's a couple miles away and I enjoy being able to go when I have a coupon. I don't go often because I have a bad back and can't stand sill for long. And we have long lines at our store.

I don't go to Kohl's enough to know how busy they usually are. Couple of times I went, there was a line to check out. Couple of other times, no lines. I don't find much there for me in terms of clothing. I usually go just to look for things like socks or maybe kitchen items. My trips to Kohl's are usually because I have some time to kill and I say "We haven't been there lately, let's go see what they have."

I freaking hate Kohl’s. When stores start playing the coupon games, I’m out.

I rarely go as our store doesn’t seem to carry what I want snd I don’t want to drive to a further store or pay shipping. I would hate to see it go though. Not a fan at all of the other department stores like Penney’s or Macy’s and prefer Kohl’s.

I usually only go there to return Amazon stuff and would shop to spend the $5 Kohls cash you got for your return.
Of course the greedy people have ruined it. So many people were buying stuff on Amazon to turn around and get the Kohls cash that they did away and are now only giving you a discount coupon.
We very rarely return anything to Amazon anyway, so probably won't be back for a long time.

I couldn't tell you the last time I was in a Kohls. I could never find anything there I liked or needed anyway, so I just don't go. There are 2 in our town, and it wouldn't bother me at all if they closed.

Around here, Kohl's seems to be next door or across the street from Walmart.
The last few years I've really only bought workout clothes from them and loved the curbside pick-up option that started with the pandemic.
ETA I buy on sale but can't be bothered to figure out Kohl's cash

I used to shop at Kohls when I lived in VA and had one a few miles from my house. I mostly bought kids clothes there because I felt they didn’t carry the best quality. So clothes that my girls were probably only going to wear one season? No big deal.
I would buy some fun “fast fashion” items for me, but otherwise, I stuck to the home goods department. I felt I could get good deals with a 30% off coupon, Kohls cash, and sometimes a rebate to boot. For example, I got my Kitchen Aid Pro 6qt (MSRP about $500 at the time, but considerably less at most retail stores) for a final price of $180 after coupon, Kohls cash, and rebate. Sweet!
I scored a few other big deals on household items over the years, but I haven’t really shopped at Kohls more than a couple of times since moving to WV in 2012. The closest store is almost an hour away, and it just isn’t worth it, especially if part of the deal is Kols cash which requires a return trip or online ordering with a shipping charge.

we went in Kohls a couple of weeks ago for the first time in close to a decade - it wasn't busy, the prices weren't impressive...it was clean, I'll give them that - we didn't see much of interest. DH picked up a couple of Star Wars tees for himself and DD.
I dislike the whole mark it up to put it on 'sale' concept.

Wow, we shop there frequently. I have the credit card and am a VIP rewards member. I always shop sales and when Kohl's cash is offered so I can use that on other items. I frequently get the 30% off coupon and have even received 40% off coupons too. I like their tees and jeans, ds likes their choice of graphic tees and elastic waist shorts, and DD likes the Lauren Conrad collection for dresses. I also get bedding there, towels, and holiday decor. Ours is always busy and well stocked.

I took my 18yo dd there a while back, thinking we could get her some grown-up clothes that she needs for auditions, interviews, etc. But they didn't have all the career/workwear that I remember them having. It was all casual and workout stuff. I guess no one wears nice clothes anymore. We ended up ordering stuff off amazon.
Other than that, I haven't been there in ages!

There's two Kohl's I have gone to in recent months. One is pretty much the only shopping left that's not Walmart. The other is surrounded by places like Burlington, Old Navy, etc. The first one is fairly busy. The other has been practically dead the last two times I went in. I pretty much only buy shoes there these days.

I like their tees and jeans, I like their jeans and the tee-shirts, too. I hate jeans shopping with a passion, and I know I can get jeans there that will fit my body type. And I usually pick up tee-shirts as a layering piece. I don't bother with the Kohl's cash, coupons, etc. but I will use my Kohl's charge card. I hope they still stick around. The ones in the Phx suburbs always seemed busy to me; I haven't gone into a Kohl's yet in the St. Louis area.

I rarely shop at Kohl's, because I think their merchandise is expensive. Kohl's "sale prices" with a coupon discount, is higher than Walmart and Target.
There is a particular brand (Sonoma) of socks that I buy from Kohl's, but I only buy them when I get a 30% or 40% mystery coupon.

I only go in there to return to Amazon and to get Land's End yoga pants on sale. I did go in there one time because I had a Kohl's cash and was looking for a specific gift.

Ours just closed. It was always empty. The only time it was busy was the afternoon of music recitals when parents realized they didn't have black pants or white shirts.

I bought all the bedding for all five beds for our lake place there, all on clearance, for a phenomenal deal. The store I go to is always packed full of merchandise and I usually get great deals on stuff for DD off the clearance rack. I can’t say if the store is typically busy or not because I always shop at off peak times. The kitchen stuff is never a great deal unless you can stack sale prices, Kohl’s cash and credit card discounts. I just put the stuff I want on my Kohl’s card and pay it off online as soon as I get home.

Kohl's has these bamboo socks that are the softest ever, I'll have to find me a new source if they close my stores. They also have workout clothes that are usually a good price with a sale.
I typically only shop online and purchase the minimum to get free shipping. I always forget to go back and use the Kohl's cash so that isn't an incentive to me.

Kohl’s just never really caught on for me. I never went often enough to play all their games with the ‘cash.’ Mind always expired.
And I don’t know whether their stores are stocked the same, but I never found much there that I loved. I would try to do a little Christmas shopping there for convenience, but often left empty handed. I guess my pea card might get revoked for this, but I never bought even one of those Big Throw blankets that everyone raved about.

Ds21 some how got it in his head that he can only wear Gold Toe low rise socks back when he was 12. Kohls occasionally has smokin' deals, so I go there to buy socks.

I used to shop there prepandemic. I bought a lot of our clothes and housewares there. I’ve bought a few things online in the past couple years but have only walked into the store maybe once. I too, hate playing the coupon, Kohl’s cash, credit card discount game.
I think the quality of their merchandise has declined. I’ve been disappointed in all of my recent purchases.
