I have a little drawer that I put all the miscellaneous punchies, die cuts, and fussy cut stamped images in that I made for a layout that I was working on, but didn't actually use on it.
Sometimes I'll go paper punch happy and punch, say, ten butterflies out for the layout. But I only use seven of them. Well, then the three extra go into the drawer.
Or if I stamp an image, circle punch it out of the paper, then don't use it after all, into the drawer it goes.
I just can't bear to throw them away.
And I do sometimes dig through the drawer. It's like a little treasure trove of ready-made embellishments.
I was just wondering if other scrapper do this too, or if I'm the odd one. Haha.
Maybe if a bunch of us did this, we should trade off on our extras drawer, get something new, lol.

I don't have enough to fill a drawer, but I do save them in a little plastic bowl on my desk. I have yet to use any of them, lol. Like you, I feel 'guilty' throwing them away, so yep, I hang onto 'em. It's one thing to collect things, but to hang onto bits I'll probably never use? I'm thinking this makes me a borderline hoarder, lol.

I toss a lot unless I have room to store something and know I will use it, it generally gets tossed.

I put them all in a ziplock Baggie, then donate the to a kindy/ daycare for the kiddies to use. I also do this with all y scraps- punch out shapes and put them all in the same baggie

I have a square glass vase decorated with pewter by a friend- I chuck them in there. I occasionally use images but dig through for spare alphas and basic shapes all the time.

I have a small bowl that I toss miscellaneous stuff into. I usually forget to look in there, but have used a couple pieces on my PL cards.

I toss a lot unless I have room to store something and know I will use it, it generally gets tossed. Me too. I should probably have a small bowl on my desk to keep these sorts of bits and pieces, but generally anything that was punched, die cut etc gets tossed when I've finished the layout.

I keep mine. I have an iris insert that holds die cuts, tags, cut aparts, and one of the slots is for "left overs". I actually use them too...not enough to keep up with them...but enough that when I use one I'm grateful that I kept it

I usually toss them out, seems like it's never quite the right size, color etc. to use them on something else.

I used to keep them but now generally do not. Sometimes I will cut something on the Cameo that leave a zillion little shapes (hearts, eg), and if I am spectacularly ambitious, I will sew some into a garland and use that as an embellishment on other layouts.

Sometimes I save them, but not very often. If I think I'll use them on another layout I'll toss them in my misc. embellishment box. But since they were for a specific project and wouldn't work well with much else usually they end up in the trash.

Back in my Quickutz days I used to save everything. But they were never the right color or too big/small, etc. So I started just tossing them.

No, that would make me crazy. I feel like it creates clutter.

Yes, I keep my leftovers! In a little dish or bowl. Sometimes I go through it and toss stuff I'm not fond of any longer, and sometimes I find the perfect thing for whatever I'm working on!

nope. as long as I have the punch/die...and lord knows I will never run out of paper....I don't need to keep extra die cuts.

Sometimes I keep them, sometimes I don't. It depends on how versatile they are, or if they could be used on a card.

Generally I do, and they go in a little bowl on my desk. Every so often I will have a clear out, chuck anything that I don't want, and make an effort to use them up by making tags or embellishments.

I have a few. I keep them. If I find out that someone at school needs some stuff I pass it their way. If I had a bunch I'd definitely swap with someone. Keep me in mind if you decide to do a swap down the road.

I keep some - if I cut it with my cameo, I generally keep it as I like to cut shapes (stars, hearts, arrows) and words (love, snapshots, you, etc.) I use often all at once. I store them in Avery Elle stamp pockets with cardstock in between in a different color. I mainly just have white, gold, silver, and other colors - so about 4 pockets. With punches, I generally do not keep. With dies, it varies. If they go with a stamp set, I sometimes will keep the extras with the stamp set - in the back of the Avery Elle pocket.

I keep them in a small box, and when it's full, I give it to my DD's teacher.

It depends on what it is. A really basic die cut shape, heart, star etc. or something I have stamped and colored, it goes in a little bowl on my desk.
I use them on cards more than pages, and when the bowl is overflowing they are either used or added to my donate pile.
I do the same with paper scraps. All go into a big basket and when that is over flowing, I make cards and then weed out the rest and donate what I don't think I will use.
I have found this works for me. It is not sorted at all, so no extra time wasted, just a quick perusal of what I might use or donate or scrap what I decide I won't use.
I like to rummage around in my stash, some times I find just what I need or remember to use. If I took a lot of time organizing it, I think I would feel more need to use it. I spent all that time sorting, that would feel wasted to me. Just tossed in a bowl or a basket with an occasional sort works for me.

No. I have tried saving them in the past and ever ended up using them.
