Good morning.
This morning I have some errands w/ods and this afternoon yds is finally coming home. The whole family will be at the table tonight. So, I'll make chicken risotto in the IP, a favorite of the boys.
What's for dinner?

Let's all lend a good thought or prayer to @gyspygirl. May your surgery today go smoothly and your recovery be easy and quick.
Do you enjoy breakfast in bed and/or room service? I used to enjoy Mother's Day when ds's would bring me coffee in bed while dh made pancakes, but breakfast in bed is too messy. Instead of room service I would rather find a local place that is delicious. Chain hotel food isn't special.

Hi scrapmaven! Lucky you having all your men at the table tonight! How long is YDS staying? I never would ever eat breakfast (or any other meal in bed). I am far too messy. However, each morning I drink two cups of coffee in my bed while I wake up with my animals. When I'm on my second cup of coffee, I play Queen's My Best Friend and I belt it out at the top of my lungs to all my furry friends. I think the animals like it, because even Bree, the straggler, comes running in when she hears the song start. I do that before I meditate. Today, I'm in a good mood. Day is going alright and I had a bunch of work that was dependent on my boss's approval and he didn't get to any of it this week! Which is awesome. I've got some document corrections to work on today as one of our offices gave us incorrect information. That's a bummer. But I'll get that all done today and it should be a nice and easy Friday. Which is a great lead in to the weekend. I'm planning on making this weekend great.  Tonight's dinner will be a Greek-style shrimp linguini. I'm looking forward to it. Will probably make some garlic bread too. |

I'm starting to feel more human today!  I plan to just watch TV, play on my phone and rest ... I've never really been interested in breakfast food so I would rather go for lunch or dinner if it is Mother's Day  I have no idea what dinner will be tonight ... I doubt I will feel like cooking but do have a really nice gourmet salad in the fridge so I'll probably have that! |

I'm indecisive right now. Contemplating staying home and ge5 stuff done vs going out and doing stuff. Both kinda seem like too much effort at the moment, my bed was so comfy... Yesterday my stomach wanted nothing to eat (congestion drainage upset?) and today so far food sounds good. Still have no idea what's for dinner though. Heck any meal is up in the air in the "punt" zone. Glad you have you family together scrapmavenEveryone enjoy your day, whatever you choose to do. Or not do.🙃 |

I am going out to dinner tonight to try a new indian place. I do not like breakfast in bed. I want to get up, put in contacts, ect. and start my day.

Happy birthday, KelleeM! Hope you are home and recuperating, **GypsyGirl**. It's DH's birthday today, too, and he is taking the day off which is completely throwing me off schedule. He also threw me off my dinner plans (grilled tri tip and vegetables) because we are going to a Brazilian steakhouse tomorrow so he wants fish tonight. I was kind of hoping he'd go for sushi, but no, he wants "tuna salad" which is a Salad Nicoise, not a canned tuna mix. Which means another grocery run today because I don't have everything we need, like fresh tuna.  |

I would rather go out and eat breakfast. Dinner today with be something with fish. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do with it. |

jeremysgirl your post was full of good, happy energy. I love hearing it. Yds is staying for a week, but I'm leaving him on Wed when I go on my trip to see my specialist. Dh is very supportive of these trips, because this doc always helps. He's an MD, but does some great holistic stuff, too. This time dh said that he refuses to babysit while I'm gone.  Ods comes home every Friday, since he lives nearby, but he has to leave after dinner. Still, I'll have a few hours w/everyone home and I'll hope that ods comes back this weekend.

No breakfast in bed. Once Im awake, Im ready to get up, plus what a pain in the ass!
I think we have only stayed at one hotel with room service (Hard Rock at Universal) and we just needed something small to eat so we did room service. I think room service has its place, but I dont stay anywhere fancy enough to have great room service. Or any room service lol
Dinner tonight is a variety of appetizers from a bar/restaurant down the block from where we live. We are getting 2 flavors of boneless wings, stuffed mushrooms (i voted for breaded, but the guys wanted the stuffed), mozz sticks, onion rings, and breadsticks with Asiago dip.
Im back completely on the wagon starting Monday so this is a last hurrah of junk food.

If it's friday it is fish!!! They had "day boat" scollops today...so really fresh...and NOT cheap...However we are worth it....So, I may bake stuff them....probably a salad and green veggie to go with.
Weekend plan involve a birthday celebration with my sister....DH and I will take her out tomorrow for dinner😊😊😊

After the beautiful weather yesterday, winter has returned today! It's cold.
DH has a man cold and he is miserable. It could be Covid but he assures me that it's not. Not sure how he knows since he hasn't taken a test. I'm keeping my distant, both because he's miserable and because I don't want to catch whatever he has.
Supper tonight will be leftover pork chop for me.

Happy Birthday KelleeM, and get well vibes to all who need them. I don’t like breakfast in bed, but room service is fine. My favourite was when we visited Santorini - our resort didn’t have a restaurant (still in development) but had a deal with a local bakery, who would deliver a basket each morning with yogurt, fruits, pastries and coffee. We would often eat on the patio of our suite, enjoying the view and the sun. We had just the best day yesterday. We were picked up just before 9 by a very excited little girl and her dad, and driven to the train station. We went into the city, then took a tram down the the Aquarium. We spent nearly 3 hours there, which I thought was amazing for such a little one, and she was really interested in all the animals. Her favourites were the jellyfish and the penguins. At the gift shop at the end, we said she could buy a toy, and she insisted on also buying something for ‘my baby’, so we came home with two stuffed sharks - one big for her, and one tiny for the new baby! Today we are going out for brunch with DS, DDiL and Sophia. There is a nice cafe just a few minutes from our apartment, where DH has been going to get coffee for us each morning, so we are going there. Until then, I am going to go for a walk before it gets too hot, and then chill for a bit,here.    |

Good morning everyone! After a grey day yesterday, the weekend is off to a great start. Clear skies today and a top of 29C. I am so glad it is the weekend. I had the week from hell at work, and I didn't log off until 8:15 last night. That was after logging on at 6:30am before my walk to make sure a customer had received his deliveries after I'd $#%@ed up. After my two big mistakes earlier in the week, there were two things that I was supposed to have done by 11am, but didn't get done until 8pm. Ugh. Dinner was the rest of the goats cheese and sun dried tomato ravioli from the other night. KelleeM, wishing you a very happy birthday. I know that you will be missing Dick, and the little love note he would have left you for your birthday. I hope that you are able to find some joy on your special day, with the people who love you most. Big birthday (((hugs))) to you my friend.  jeremysgirl, I am cracking up imagining you singing 'You're My Best Friend' at the top of your lungs each morning, and the animals all running to hear it!  I was just in the kitchen making my first cup of coffee for the day, and I started singing: "Oh what a beautiful morning,

Everything's going my way!"DSO got up from the couch and shut the door so he couldn't hear me.  I'm not really a fan of breakfast in bed, and really only have it on Mother's Day. I'd prefer to get up and come sit outside with a coffee (which is usually my breakfast). And that's exactly what I am doing right now. |

Bagels, toast or a bowl of fruit are my go-to for breakfast in bed very morning. Happy Birthday KelleeM. Hope you enjoy your weekend. The weather is changing this weekend. Dd came home for the tail end of spring break. She’s already out with friends. For dinner we had tilapia, cauliflower rice, broccoli & salad. I’m glad everyone is starting to feel better. I used to get breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day & my birthday. It was a powdered sugar chocolate cream filled donut. Dunkin’ Donuts quit making them so that’s stopped. The last room service we had was in Italy and our room had a terrace that was like a bridge over the street connected to the building on the other side. Kwim? So we had to get room service. Otherwise we don’t get it. |

Just made these, I'll call them "Cheater Taters". Been meaning to try and tonight I did. Not bad... Canned potatoes (yes, You read that right, canned!) Rinsed, cut in half, pat dry, tossed in a bit of olive oil and seasoning and put in air fryer until I felt like taking them out. Thought I'd try as sometimes fresh potatoes spoil before we get to them. Nice to have in hand. Now, backwards to read...  |
