I’m wondering if anyone else finds the distress in in this colour to be a lot different than what they’ve see online?
I bought the distress and oxide and know they won’t be exactly the same, and since I can’t see example in person I know that online/monitor will look a little different than on person etc. But between his reveals and all the examples that get shared along with it I usually get a good sense that I’m not surprised by anything. The Oxide in person looks how it looks on YT or IG. The Distress look reaaaaaly fluorescent.
If I saw a sample not knowing what it was I’d think it was a neon dye ink. I’ve tried a couple different papers just in case, with a blender, stamp, direct to paper. It just looks really bright. I like his inks because the colours are usually complex and have undertones or dimension to them - this one looks like a flat, 80’s, neon pink.
Anyone else notice this? Or do you really notice a difference with this colour based on how you apply it or the paper you use? I have his other pinks and I checked the label on the bottom so I know I didn’t get a different ink by mistake. Not sure if I should be asking to exchange it.

Both my oxide and distress look pretty much the same, with only a slight difference in color. Neither one looks neon to me. It is possible that you got a defective one.

Google "Kitsch Flamingo Ink Comparison" and see the differences between other pinks. And maybe swatch yours to see if it looks different than those. If it does look off email Ranger. Maybe there is defective batch. I've emailed them before and they were quick to respond.

The oxide looks like it does in all the video/photos. He even shows the slight difference between them in one of his videos, but the distress I got is a lot more different. Was trying to avoid the mailing/return/6 weeks wait LOL. Seems like it’ll be worth it though - thanks again.

They emailed me back within a couple of days saying a new one was on the way and keep the one I had. This is the same response I got. When I reached out to them, they asked for a photo, and I sent the photo of the ink pad inside the container that showed it was def. not Oxide and then the label that showed it was labeled as Oxide. They sent me a new one right away.
