The link just brings up multiple houses. Which one has the surprise? 😀

It looks like a very special commode. I was more intrigued by the kitchen ceiling. I can’t tell if it’s damp or fire damage, or whether someone chose to make it look like that!

There was not one single thing in this house that I like. Nothing. Yuck.

Looks more like a lodge...

So many different colors, styles, types of flooring, types of walls. No continuity at all. Nothing coordinates or matches. It looks like a hodgepodge of >> "whatever's on clearance, at the auction, found at the estate sale," buy and use that.
The only thing I like is all the windows, featuring the view. At the same time, it's way to close to the water for my liking. One crazy storm, and there could be water in the house and over the roof and yard space. I am wondering how the whole place can be waterproofed and protected.

What a mish-mash. Like the Blue and Gold Macaw, Cockatoo and looks like a Parrot in one of the rooms. Other than that, not my style.

I actually liked it a lot - I'd love to rent it for a summer! It would be so fun to have guests up for a week at a time.
Buying it, tho? Nope nope nope. Waaaaaaay too close to the water. I don't know how the storms are on the lake, but Superstorm Sandy made me never want to own property that close to the water!

You are more likely to get flooding along the rivers. I was hoping for an open house, I would totally take one for the Pea team and go tour it.

I would totally take one for the Pea team and go tour it. And I would totally be demanding a photo of you on the Throne if you did!

I love that kitchen. I also like the bed with stairs - I love sleeping up high.
The rest has too many "interesting" decorating choices for me...and there is no way I'd live in a house so close to the water, every time it rained I'd be anxious about it flooding. I don't care if it's common or not - that close to the water it will always be a risk.

I saw a lot that I liked, but all I could think about was how much work it would be with all the wood stoves and fireplaces. Huge amount of cleaning work in that house--but those who could afford it would have staff to handle that work, I am sure.
That copper tub on wheels was whimsical. The throne was fun, but not practical.
It is one of those properties that would be fun to visit but not to live in.
That lake water will be so very cold in the winter. I think the windows need to be triple paned to make it comfortable in the winter.

For some reason that house really gave me the creeps. Clowns, army men on the mantle who look ready to attack, other assorted creepy stuff and finally the throne. It did make me snicker, but it also looks creepy. No thanks.

Whats up with the bedroom with the patches of wallpaper? Or is it outlines of US states?

I mostly like the ground floor, the rustic kitchen and the main bedroom. The living area is also quite spacious and pleasant. The rest of the house needs some serious redecorating.

It's on the wrong side of Michigan. While the lake is fairly big and you'd just be a decent boat ride away from Canada, there's only two lakes in Michigan I want to spend that kind of money to live on - Michigan and Superior. Plus you'll need to invest in some good blinds and curtains. That view includes some great sunrises.

Not at all the type of beach-y feel you would expect. I would love to see it with everything gone and walls and ceilings painted a neutral tone. The views are spectacular. The throne did make me laugh!

Such a disjointed style - if you can call it that! Just so random. The throne - yeah, such witty folk

i dislike every interior inch of that home. the views look nice, the rest of it, not for me. which is weird, i have mentioned before that i worked in real estate for about 10 yrs. usually i can see past decor i don't care for but in this case, not so much. everything looks dated and disjointed, super weird layout, hate both tubs and bathrooms, that weird découpage wallpaper treatment (tear bears?! ). just blech. as for throne? eww. burn it.
