I took Miss Freddy's Family Yearbook class and she uses AlbumStomp to design her photobooks. The class was similar to another I already took but it was helpful to learn adobe bridge for tagging photos. I got a little better at selecting photos. I didn't want to buy and learn a new software so I have been using Photoshop Elements to design monthly project life style pages. I haven't felt like working on it in weeks/months. I am wondering if I should make the switch. My photobooks are mostly photos so maybe it would be faster?? Has anyone used AlbumStomp? Miss Freddy posted that it is 40% off today. That makes it ~75 CAD. Maybe I am just overthinking because I am sad. I feel stuck on all my projects (scrapbook and not).

I'm not familiar with AlbumStomp so no help there, but have you checked out Canva software? I think you can make a photo-book using the free version so it might worth taking a quick look, especially if you are feeling a little down before you spend $$$. I use Photoshop CC a lot and have used some pre-made photobook templates from Paisley Press the-lilypad.com/store/Paislee-Press/?catid=869 and I'm pretty sure they are compatible with the Elements so that could be another option. Was there something in the class about why that software was better? Sorry you are stuck! That's the worst.

Album Stomp is advertised to professional photographers, rather than crafters/memory keepers. I would google for more info from photography-focused reddit boards and professional photographer support forums. I'm sorry I don't have any personal experience, but the ads I've seen have been tempting. If you do go for it please let us know how you like it!

Have you tried the PL app? It is free with some included templates and card kits. Of course there are many more for purchase.
I find that the limits of the PL app (grid) help me keep things simple and quick. Although there's an great FB group where people share all sorts of creative ways to make it more complicated if you want to go that route every so often.

Thank you for the advice. I slept on it and decided it is too much money. It was the seamless pages that I liked so I am going to figure out how to do them. All the photobook companies have design software that I barely look at. I just find a full page photo and drop in my PSE page. I think I will look at their seamless layouts.
